Looking for information/help to farm vermivorous the invincible, look in Description

Been wanting the Cat head piece for maya and some legendaries for some time now, since ive reached op8 (yay!) and i was wondering how to go on and farm it easily. Not sure how to get past badass, no more transformation after that point for me anyways. also to note, do i need to have the varkids de-agro from the crystalisks to transform? Its like i need a coach XD Ive watched videos on it and it still isnt making since, which is why im here so please dont make a rude comment ^-^ thank you for your time !

Getting Vermi to spawn solo takes a lot of luck. 2200+ hours, and I've never seen it happen, myself. I've gotten her to spawn in 2-3 player difficulty, and I bet 4 would be even better (I seldom play in 4 party crews, so I never got her there). So, the more players, the more likely the varkid will evolve.

And no, you don't need them to de-agro to evolve. In fact, when the varkids are idle, they'll sometimes fly away. I find the Super and Ultimate BA varkids do this a lot. :(

The evolution chain goes:

Larval > Adult > Badass* > Super Badass > Ultimate Badass > Vermivorous the Invincible

*Can sometimes spawn as Chubby/Tubby varkids, instead of BA.

Side story: I once had 2 Vermis on the field at the same time, plus a Ultimate BA Varkid, in a 2 player difficulty on TVHM. Thankfully, we had a higher leveled friend that was willing to help us!

If you want to farm Vermivorous the easiest way to do it single player is to go to the Natural Selection Annex. Round 2 of Creature Slaughter spawns an ultimate badass varkid in the final wave.

As of the final patch I believe the evolve chances were changed to be the same for one or two players: 10%. Anecdotally this roughly matches my experience trying to farm the Kawaii Killer. I had to reset a ton but Vermi did show up every ten rounds or so. If you kill it and you don't get the loot you want just quit the game without triggering autosave.

The drawback to this method is you can only keep one drop, you'll have to reset the playthrough to get a chance to redo the round. It is substantially more reliable than screwing around in the Caustic Caverns though.

Alternatively you can go to the farmhouse in tundra express. Aggro a bunch of varkids and hide inside. If you stand on the trapdoor edge they can't hit you. Shoot the wall every few seconds to keep them aggroed and wait for them to evolve. It's random and percentage based. The vast majority will not level up to SBA/UBA, let alone Vermi. The odds are way higher with 4 players if you can assemble that many.

Yeah higher ammount of people, the higer the chance, and i heard the 4 person glitch with walking into 2 certain boss rooms will set it to 4 players, but i think that was patched ? either way i might try the farm house. my cousin and i are going to give it a go here soon.

OK so with the information you guys have given, is alot more than the damn vids i watched XD ill give the farm house a go here soon, and I Think that 4 player glitch was patched. but i should have a lobby of 3 here soon. Tubby/chubby varkids cant evolve either so ill just kill those. And yes, i saw alot of the badasses i got to spawn in caustic, one of them were just sitting on the ground XD. And btw, should i kill varkids after awhile if they dont evolve ?

The Gee / Hyperius 4 player glitch was patched out a while ago, but there is the 4-player difficulty slider that fools the game into thinking there are up to 4 players in the game. It works, but going into your menu does not pause the game any more. Be careful :D

Any varkids that haven't evolved for a while, kill them They have a timer at each stage and if they are going to evolve, they will do so within the time.

It is possible to spawn Vermi solo, but that involves a huge amount of luck and a lot of running around the varkid areas, waiting to see what evolves, moving on to the rest. Repeat until you are bored.

Caustic Caverns. This one evolved out of sight while I was concentrating on evolutions in the tunnel, and just turned up. The head that she dropped was a duplicate of the very first head I ever got from her. For Krieg. Who I don't play. The game RNGods trolling again.

This was in the 2nd round of the creature slaughter. Probably the best place to farm because of the guaranteed Ulti spawn, and an earlier Super spawn who can also evolve. Learn how to read-only farm for this option.

u can spawn it solo i do that very common on op8 in caustic caver but its super smart to have chain lightning and grog there for insta heal use bubble in acid to jump on bridge.. and wait....just shot from time to time to keep agrro in crystalisc

No problem! Yeah the 4 player thing was patched, unfortunately. Yes, you should kill them after a minute or so of them not evolving. The game can only load so many baddies at once, so they're kinda dead weight. Tundra Express is a great map too, especially Old Man Johnson's farm and the beginning area.

ive done it about 5 times now full runs on each places in rotation, only got up to ultimate badass, sadly no further. when at the farm on tundra express i got two ultimates but no further transformation sadly. how long do i wait till i know i need to kill.

It's rough. From my experience, the varkid will evolve within a minute or two. After that I kill them. I remember this one time I was farming her, and I killed every damn varkid in Caustic Caverns....Except this one random BA varkid I found. I swear, that thing evolved from badass to Vermivorous in a minute and a half.

You could use Gibbed save editor to get the head you want.

It's a save editor that people use to, well, alter saves. You can paste guns, shields, droppable cosmetics, etc, into your backpack, then use it in the game. If all you want is a head, it's gonna save you some time.
