Pearls at 61

Hello

Could anyone please tell me if Pearls would still drop if your max level is 61? It's weird I know, but I only have Ultimate Vault Hunter Pack 1.

From what I have gathered, they are supposed to start dropping from 61 but I have also seen that the higher your level (Upgrade pack 2, and OP levels) the more they will start dropping.

I can try get the UP2, but I will have just to wait until I am able to get cash for it and see if it makes a difference, but just wanted to know if they will drop with only UP1.

Both of the upgrade packs have their own pearlescents. You can find those from the pack #1.

Short Answer: Yes.

Not-so-short Answer: You can find any Pearl except the Bekah, Godfinger, Wanderlust, or Carnage with Ult. Vault Pack 1. Those 4 will only drop with Ult. Vault Pack 2 at Level 61 or higher in UVHM only.

I was just worried that I might need UVH Pack 2 just to see a Pearl drop. I have run the loot midgets many times which I believe are best source to get one, and I know that does not mean I will get one, but was hoping at least one would drop and the reason none were, is beacuse of the level 61 cap.

I will just keep trying the midgets nd tubbies and hope one drops someday. Thanks again for the help. I will try get UVH Pack 2 once I am able :P

So unless I am mistaken, I am wasting my time expecting Pearls to drop from Tubbies only? So to speak. They will only drop pack 2 Pearls? I apologize I am just trying to understand correctly.

Me being UVH 1, will get first gen pearls from anywhere. 2nd gen Pearls, will only drop from tubbies. So its kind of pointless farming tubbies and loot midgets ONLY for pearls?

Tubbies can drop any pearl, but unless you're playing on OP levels the odds are abysmal. Specifically, 1%. Loot Midgets aren't really better, they have a 15% chance to drop a legendary, and IF you hit that 15% there's a 9% chance it will be a pearl instead. So 1.35% odds of getting a Pearl from a loot midget.

Overall they're just super, super rare, but the good news is that 9% chance on applies to any world legendary spawn, not just loot midgets. I had one pop out of a badass loader in the WEP.

If you're trying to farm pearls the only ways to get the odds up to anything remotely reliable is to get the second UVHM upgrade and farm on OP8. Tubbies go up to 20% chance, and OMGWTH has a 100% (but only for the original 8)

I've been looking for a Carnage off and on for months now. I've gotten three Avengers, two Unforgivens, a Storm and a ton of legendary class mods but I still haven't seen a single gen 2 pearl. The only things I know of that might be rarer are the Twister and the Cobra.

The first set of Pearls (see the page linked above for these) is included in the first UVH Upgrade pack. These appear mostly while playing in UVHM ~ while they can appear from any loot source, for you they have an increased chance to drop from LLMs & Tubbies. They can also drop from the slot machine in the Tina DLC in Flamerock when playing in TVHM and NVHM too, making that slot machine the only source of Pearls at levels lower than 50. Have fun (y)

Things are much clearer now :) I will try get the Upgrade Pack 2 as soon as possible. I am just unemployed at the moment so every $1 counts lol. I am at least having fun playing at 61 so I have no complaints. I bought this game in 2014 and the dlc when I had a good job, and never played it until now. Now that Im fully into it I cant get the UP 2 lol figures :P But Im gratefull I at least have something. I will get it one day though jsut to see what its like. I think I will try thise slots and see what happens.
