That mission with a Siren specced in Cloud Kill is ridiculous. Tip: If you get a Hellfire SMG, sometimes the kills will count towards that quest.
... And Clould Kill (which is one of the key 10 point skills that are supposed to be critical build points) desperatly needed the buff. It was so bad that most build guides suggested avoiding entirely. Even that one point was too much to waste on what was supposed to be one of the most important, definitive skills in the Siren's set.
So .. yeah, it's a problem when you do some quests. The one you mention is one of them, the one where you need to "damage, but not kill" some loaders (in the WEP) is another.
The work-around is to respec and leave that point unfilled in until you complete the objective.
That is true, but there are so very many quests that are like this. It would be so very much respeccing. Which is stupid...
Well one of the worst was the claptrap wand mission in Tina's DLC. That was a nightmare. Sure they are optional missions but some of us enjoy doing ALL the missions. And we should not have to respecc for quests. I mean the bonus objectives is fine, you don't HAVE to do them. But the one I am now. I cannot complete. It is literally impossible because of the acid cloud. I am sure every character has talents like this, talents that help them shred enemies, but that make certain quests actually impossible. They made it so we can turn off badass bonuses, why can we not turn off these these probematic talents? Even just allowing them to be right clickeed to take the point out. But no the only option is respeccing, and yeah I just don't think that sounds like fun...
Are there more E-tech weapons? Are all E-tech weapons the fuscia color? It was never really explained?
Just respec out of Cloud Kill while you complete the (tiny handful of) missions that it's a problem for.
Leave the point unspent. Add it in as soon as you complete the mission objective. Yeah, it's annoying, but it's just not that big a deal. Having Cloud Kill be too strong is way, way better than what it was like before when it was too weak.
Mostly side escort quests like Enrique and Monstrasitat.
"WHY ARE YOU SHOOTING MY PUPPEH?"
Reason 3045 why I hate Tiny Tina.
