Ummm so why are some talents not able to toggled on and off?
I am a siren. And you know don't get me wrong I LOVE the acid cloud ability, but why in the hell can we not toggle this off for certain stupid missions? Prime example I am on the Doc Mercy Mission and I have to kill 25 bandits with the weak AF E-tech gun. But I have only managed to kill one, the other lets say maybe 50ish, all killed by acid cloud. HOW IN THE ♥♥♥♥ DID SOMEONE NOT SEE THIS AS A PROBLEM? How many quests have these kind of stipulations, um tons? Are we supposed to be expected to respec all the damn time? Is is really that hard to add a toggle button?

Hell. Yes.

That mission with a Siren specced in Cloud Kill is ridiculous. Tip: If you get a Hellfire SMG, sometimes the kills will count towards that quest.

its not that hard to respec. either remember what you had equipped or write it down and then you can do it quick and easy in about 20 seconds

The quest was built before Cloud Kill got buffed.

... And Clould Kill (which is one of the key 10 point skills that are supposed to be critical build points) desperatly needed the buff. It was so bad that most build guides suggested avoiding entirely. Even that one point was too much to waste on what was supposed to be one of the most important, definitive skills in the Siren's set.

So .. yeah, it's a problem when you do some quests. The one you mention is one of them, the one where you need to "damage, but not kill" some loaders (in the WEP) is another.

The work-around is to respec and leave that point unfilled in until you complete the objective.

That is true, but there are so very many quests that are like this. It would be so very much respeccing. Which is stupid...

what other quests as i can't think of any others where this would be a problem aside from optional obejectives.

Well one of the worst was the claptrap wand mission in Tina's DLC. That was a nightmare. Sure they are optional missions but some of us enjoy doing ALL the missions. And we should not have to respecc for quests. I mean the bonus objectives is fine, you don't HAVE to do them. But the one I am now. I cannot complete. It is literally impossible because of the acid cloud. I am sure every character has talents like this, talents that help them shred enemies, but that make certain quests actually impossible. They made it so we can turn off badass bonuses, why can we not turn off these these probematic talents? Even just allowing them to be right clickeed to take the point out. But no the only option is respeccing, and yeah I just don't think that sounds like fun...

i mean you aren't going to get the ability to toggle them in this game as gearbox finished development years ago so youre only option is to spec out of cloudkill to do that mission and then spec back in later or just not do the mission at all.

I just can't beleive they overlooked something like that. How did no one catch this? Tho I do know one way of doing this but it won't be fun at all. It entails melee them low enough to have them be killed by trash E-tech gun. As melee does not trigger acid cloud. But it is still very stupid and so very non-user friendly...

they may not have tested every single mission with every single character and every single toon as well as the fact that cloudkill was nowhere near as good at release as it is now. I don't get why you don't just spec out of cloudkill for the mission and then spec back into it after youre done, it'd be a lot quicker than meleeing them. also i think the mission says you can use any etech weapon but i'm not sure as i don't bother doing it because it doesn't unlock anything worthwhile

Are there more E-tech weapons? Are all E-tech weapons the fuscia color? It was never really explained?

Just respec out of Cloud Kill while you complete the (tiny handful of) missions that it's a problem for.

Leave the point unspent. Add it in as soon as you complete the mission objective. Yeah, it's annoying, but it's just not that big a deal. Having Cloud Kill be too strong is way, way better than what it was like before when it was too weak.

Well there's also this quest in Tina's DLC where you have to headshot a NPC. With Gaige skilled in Intersped Outburst, you pretty much can't kill the lad by headshot, because IO's damage takes priority over the weapon calculation.

"ENRIQUE GOT BORED AGAIN"
"WHY ARE YOU SHOOTING MY PUPPEH?"

Reason 3045 why I hate Tiny Tina.
