Is the DLC really worth completing UVHM before you do it?
So I owned Borderlands 2 for the Xbox360 and beat the game then. About maybe two years ago I once again played the game over with a friend and beat it once more. Now, awhile back Borderlands 2 and its DLC were on sale, so I decided to get it because the game is great and I have (still) never played the DLC. I now have replayed the game and then rebeat it on TVHM.

Now, the problem lies in that about 80% of the places you look, most people recommend you complete UVHM before doing the DLC because they scale into the later levels, meaning you'll be getting all the best loot in its best form. It sounds great on paper but I question how practical it really is? Don't get me wrong, I still love Borderlands, but UVHM is insanely grindy in my opinion; it doesn't feel harder per se, it just feels like the enemies have a crap ton more HP. That and, what is the point in having all the best weapons in their best form if there is nothing left in the game to do with them?

So my question is, (TL;DR) should I just do the DLC in TVHM instead of grinding through UVHM? Is it really worth the grind or should I play it to enjoy it in TVHM with at least a slight threat?

Perhaps a dumb thing to ultimately worry about, but thanks in general to anyone who read that. All opinions are appreciated.

EDIT: Or should I duplicate my save file so that way I have one where I can play the DLC for enjoyment and then keep the other save as my main save file that will play UVHM?
I've never played the DLC and do kind of want to get to them sooner then later is all.

The Tiny TIna one is worth it to get the grog nozzel (mission item only so dont turn it in ) and the magic missile grenade which regenerate your grenades over time and since both are slag they will help in your UVHM playthough I also found that beating Tourges csmpign of carnage to farm the slowhand helps too especially since its a high damage e-tech shotgun what happens to be a Moxxi weapon

Leaving the DLC's until later in UVHM is only really a good idea with Captain Scarlett's, and then only if the Sandhawk is a good gun to have for your character. It is a mission reward fairly early on in the story, so it makes sense to save for later.
The other DLC's? Can be done any time really. Tina's for the various 'magic' grenades and the mission Grog Nozzle. I generally start that DLC early in UVHM. The Torgue DLC is where you earn Torgue tokens that will let you buy Torgue gear from their vending machines, including the Torgue legendaries - Harold, Kerblaster. Flakker, Nukem etc. Start early.
Hammerlock has the Rough Rider, but it is farmable and since UVHM scales to you, no real reason to leave until later.

There is also the option to reset UVHM at any point and start all over again with your current level, gear etc. If you are not interested in doing the OP levels, you can reset when you get to 72, and then do a level 72 playthrough.

Do the DLCS when you feel like it
My level 28 slagged pimpernel helped till level 50~it even was my main tool to defeat warrior in tvhm
Maybe you need a bee shield in late 30s or early 40s so start dragon keep dlcs to farm treanants since hunter helliquist might not be available until late 40s
Some feel that a low level rough rider might be better for easy gating~normal hammerlock dlc
Also spell grenades like mm, chain lightning, etc helped due to regenerative properties since you probably don't have max sdu grenade in normal or tvhm

Your choice

Do the DLC's whenever you feel like it.

Just bear in mind: You must complete the main story in each mode in order to unlock the next mode, and you want to start UVHM as close to 50 as possible.

If you do any DLC's in TVHM, just be aware of that. Skip some side missions so that you won't get over leveled.

All DLCs including headhunters are worth buying.
