Check for people like Killer Six, Joltzdude or Vinylic Puma Gaming they have some good tutorials.
Also think about respeccing your build maybe or go for a different class mod.
Id also recommend bringing 1 or 2 friends since its easier that way, even better when you have a siren with you who can instant rez from a distance.
The other thing is, be ready to refarm gear at op3 and 5/6. Your level 72 weapons should be fine as long as you are slagging first with a gun or Kunai, up through op3. But when you get to 4 you will notice a signifacnt drop in damge with them, so grab any elemental weapons that drop i your runs and hang onto them for farming your new gear for the next couple DP runs.
Basti said it best though. Make sure you're farming for the right gear and def check out some of Jotz and K6's videos for ideas on what to bring with you. But if you do decide to play as a perty, make sure (for obvious reasons) someone doesnt bring in an OP8 char to help if you plan on doing it 100% legit.
Just dont get boosted trough digi pek it takes away alot of the fun and rewarding aspects of doing the peak and you might end getting bored and quit the game like so many others do once they get boosted to this and that + cheating with gibbed. Dont do it.
However it would be quite good to know what type of Zer0 you strive to play whenever its a gunbased Zer0 or a melee.
If you want to breeze trough the peak I would suggest gearing yourself towards Beehawking with Zer0, i've used it in the past to take my own Zer0 to OP8 with.
If you play correctly and dont get screwed over with RNG you should never go into FFYL due to abusing decepti0n.
This build might focus you to respec slightly and get a new gear loadout.
Legendary Hunter/Killer are great class mods for a gunbased build, rogue mods are also good alternatives and easy to farm.
Dahl allegience relic with burst delay and magazine size or a bone of the ancients pref with corrosive damage due to the high amount of armored targets in the peak to boost your Sand Hawk even further
The rest is up to you on what you want to use keep in mind to always have atleast 1 FFYL weapon, one form of healing such as the rubi/grog nozzle and finally a reliable slag weapon such as florentine, slagga or a slag pimpernel. - Grog is not a reliable and prefered weapon to slag with.
This^^
MoLMF is a very, very good Zer0 player, and his whole series above - legit from level 1 to OP8 is very good. If you play Zer0, you will learn things from the series.
It is the most boring and absurd game mode that has ever been created. Just play at level 80 and enjoy the game properly.
I mean, UVHM is balanced around sal + bee. You need either or both to get to op 10; no way around it. I guess maybe Gaige could, but you'd need to stack anarchy every single OP level increase.
And yeah, it is absurd. Level 80 is way more fun and doesn't gate as many builds/gear as OP 10 does.
