Unable to dig up treasure chest at Magnys Lighthouse.

Hi Guys,

I’m playing BL2 in TVH Mode and I’m at the Magnys Lighthouse and have placed the compass, jumped down from the lighthouse and found the black cross where the treasure chest is buried. The problem is I have no option to dig it up. Do I have to find the message in a bottle and/or the two vault symbols first, or have I missed something else.

Any help would be appreciated.

you need to find message in bottle first, probbaly you miss one of them

In BL2 if memory serves me well there are four missions that you might finish at Magnys Lighthouse in TVHM. I believe these four are called:

Freedom of Speech
Message In A Bottle
Treasure of The Sands‏‎
X Marks The Spot

Which of these four (if any) have you finished, turned in and been rewarded for? Of the ones you haven't yet completed in TVHM, which others of these four (if any) are you planning to finish and turn in during this round of TVHM?

And ~ please humor me there are good reasons I'm asking ~ may we please take a brief look at where you stand in the main game for TVHM at the moment? Have you completed the main game of BL2 during this round of TVHM - I believe that'd be the 19th main mission called The Talon of God at the end of which you try to find Jack, defeat the Warrior, call Moonshot and either kill Handsome Jack or let Lilith kill Jack? If not, how far have you gotten in TVHM in the main game? A good way to express this is to tell us the name of the highest / most advanced main mission you've turned in for TVHM? And finally, what is your current Class + Level?
