Why do people keep comparing Axton to Salvador?

Whenever people try to "prove me wrong" and say that Axton is the weakest vaulthunter, they keep comparing him to Salvador... Like... what!? LMAO. Salvador is broken compared to every vaulthunter! Why does EVERYBODY keep comparing Axton to SALVADOR?? Are they aware that Axton isn't actually weak, so they compare him to Salvador so that way there is no way they could lose the argument, or what? I am mega confused and irritated.

Because alot of peope cnt handle that there might be others out there with a diferent playstyle than them. Personally I dont like Axton simply becuse he doesnt match my playstyle. But that doesnt make him the weakest vaulthunter

Also because Axton looks weak at a glance while sal looks op at a glance. Due to most of Axton's skills not looking cool or fun (1% better at everything im looking at you) people underestimate him easily. Also because Axton is 60% of the playerbase's first character he seems weaker because when they were playing him they had no idea what they were doing and they only got the to 'better' charaters after they first learnt how to play the game.

Also assault rifles. Assult rifles suck and Axton has a bunch opf stuff that shows hes meant to be using them.

If you compare all the characters in geral Axton is hands down the weakest.
That however does not mean he is a weak/bad character design, it just means that the other characters outperform him in general gameplay.

Axton is really great as a character in normal and tvhm but falls of where as oher characters starts to shine.

The last 800-900 hours that I played I exlusively played Axton and had a blast taking him from lvl 1 to op8 and farming everything that I wanted.

Axton > Salvador because unlike Salvador Axton does not abuse and glitch trough 100% of the game like 99% of Salvador players.

I suggest you go read it if you haven't already.

You're not the first nor will you be the last person to say that Axton is the weakest vaulthunter. If we met in person, you could see how red my face is from all the facepalming I did.

but Sal is just god-mode. Even my wife could solo Op8 content with him

I suspect (though I have not gotten there) that Sal may be broken in upper levels. I stared a new Sal, I forget how far I got, I think I started UVHM. I did not find him to be so broken, but I refused to use any Moxxie weapons or launchers.

Firstly, there are plenty of great assault rifles. Axton is great with Torgue Spitters. Jakobs Gatling Guns are also dope, but I'd rather use them with Zer0.

Assault rifles have their good red-text such as Ogre, Shredifier, Lead Storm, Hail, Kitten, Bekah, Hammer Buster, Kerblaster, Sawbar. I could be forgetting about a few others.

Axton only has one assault rifle-related skill, and a rifleman com. He doesn't even have a legendary rifleman com.
