Best assault rifle?

I've been doing fairly well with my Patrol Veruc. Just wondering what the opinions are about the best assault rifle to search for. Thanks for any suggestions or comments. Cheers!

Not the finest gun class in BL2 but there are some good ones - Shredifier, Bekah and Hammer Buster are personal favorites.

seraphim is good on maya..hammer buster is bit weaker version of bekah..kerblaster is good on axton...seeker is good on gaige

Veruc is okay for slag I guess but since its the same farm then lydua Sniper I prefer that weapon

for assult rifle alternatives I prefer hammer buster or ogre

Good suggestions from all. I have or have had most of these. The Kerblaster was my main weapon in some parts of the game. I don't recall ever having either the Ogre or the Bekah but my memory just isn't the same since the siezures, lol.
Anybody know where I can look for the Ogre or Bekah? I know I could look them up but being the loner that I am, it's sometimes nice to chat. Cheers!!

The Ogre is a rare drop from Warlord Slog. He only appeears in the last wave of the Badass Round during the Magical Slaughter in the Tiny Tina DLC.
Quite the challenge to get there and even if you've practiced it, a single run will easily take around 15-20 minutes to complete.

The Bekah is a gen2 Pearlescant AR and therefore only drops from tubby enemies in UVHM at level 62+.
Drop chances for gen2 Pearls increase with OP levels; from 1% at OP0 up to 20% at OP8.

Both of them are rare. I did a good few hundred hours on console and never found a decent AR. Wasn't until I found this place and the wiki till I realised there were several worthy of searching for.

The Ogre is possibly the hardest farm, outwith raid bosses.

I reckon I'll keep farming the Boneyard then. That's where I've had the best luck farming for not only tubbies but the loot midgets on the platform. I've gotten most of my pearlies from the midgets! I'm at OP5 so I've been seeing a loot of good gear go by but not many useful pearls.
My Avenger's a nice smg but my Sawbar is just high dollar trash waiting to be sold...when needed.

The bekah is by far the best AR in the game. Especially on Axton or Maya

I'll chirp in....while certainly not the best AR, I'm having a lot of fun over many maps with my Sawbar AR along with Greed pistol, and Fire Bone at OP8.
