Wants modded guns.
Just uninstall and move on to something else.
I pity you.
Let the guy/gal enjoy the game the way they want. So much importance given to number of hours played even though it doesn't necessarily reflect the actual experience with a game, so much elitism. As long as no one comes in multi to ruin it (in which case they deserve all the hate of course) then why care ? Answer a quick no or better yet, ignore the thread and let it die and move on.
It honestly feels like you all feel attacked by other people playing the game in a way you subjectively consider wrong (as opposed, again, to what is objectively wrong like ruining a mutli experience).
Why beg on a forum for something you can do yourself with gibbed, be self independent, if OP want´s hacked weapons they should go and hack them in thereselves and not be dependant on other people
they can hack all they way they want as long as they do it themselves and not beg for it on the forum and stay out of multiplayer games with a hacked toon
Rhadamante: Over the years, I don't think that I've seen very many people telling others here that they can't enjoy the game the way that they want. I certainly haven't. Mod, cheat, glitch, exploit away, your perogative, your game. Your loss, too.
But at least recognize that you shouldn't be doing the same in public multiplayer, even if it's co-op.
The frictions commonly seen here on this and related points all zero back on multiplayer.
As you state, objectively these behaviours do tend to negatively affect the multiplayer experience for those of us who don't do the same things.
But also try to see just how even duping posts feed into this. As wonderful as this game is, one of its flaws is that it makes it too easy to to cheat...which feeds into MP.
Re. your hours and elitism comments: past a certain point, hours in a game isn't always a good metric of skill. In general observation through playing public games, the correlation between high hours and skill is far, far weaker than that between low hours and reilance on crutches.
I've played with a good number of players with sub 200 Steam hours that are as good or better than I. Many of these are creative, not relying on trope gear or exploits. People who are fun to play with, respectful, and interesting. It's these people who are on my friends list.
That said, I've played with a great many more with even fewer hours who show it when playing higher-level games. That's where this friction comes from, from me at least.
When "elitism" (or even "toxic") is bandied about here it gives me a chuckle. Those who are most often accused of this are the first to offer assistance and guidance - if the request's motive points towards desire to improve.
To me, this crushes the one mistaken tenant behind the word's definition, as believed by the word's chucker.
I don't think your motives are wrong in this thread here, just misplaced. They seem to ignore the very real adverse effects introduced into multiplayer through shortcutting and lame play.
Does any of this make sense?
[Edit: spelling correction]
With your armor so bright
won't you get off your high horse tonight?
Heheheheheh. I chuckled at the cuckled.
