Community Patch is Confusing to activate ( NOT INSTALL )
got to the console , got to the point of everything done, but when i typed in "exec patch.txt" ( without the " ) it does NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, it does not work and i doubt it will in the future unless someone is able to help me gain my hope for this patch because when i saw it i was intrested in playing it but i CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO ACTIVATE THIS PATCH. i have been trying to find out how, what and where to activate it for so long, all for nothing! NOTHING!!!!

If anyone can tell me how i can ACTUALLY activate this patch, you would be the awesome king.

If you tell me to just type in exec patch.txt i will freaking give up on this whole entire patch :steamsad:

What did you use to patch the Borderlands 2 exe? Was it the filtertool?
Ya sure it does nothing? Like autopickup eridium/tokens/seraph crystals, character skills change etc?
Does console says anything after you exec patch?
You'd better ask your question here:
https://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/t/unofficial-community-patch-thread/1557735
What message or effect are you getting when you type exec patch.txt in the console?
- If it appears in the ingame chat, you did something wrong with the installation.
- If it says that it can't find the file, then you wrote something wrong. I got mine to work when I simply wrote "exec patch".
- If nothing is happening after you use the command, it is likely that the patch is activated. You can easily find this out by starting a character and testing to see if you automaticly pick up eridium, or find loot you shouldn't be able to find early on (like sniper rifles before beating Flynt.

Thanks for the help i guess, i tried a new char when i typed in exec patch.txt in the console before and see if i could do anything like you said, auto pickup eridium and it dint, i dunno if the eridium was just sticky to the ground or what but it dint do it when i tried, today i tried and i got a grenade mod before knucckle dragger which i now know it has worked, i do not know why it dint work yesterday.
Yeah, it does nothing on execution, it just runs the list of commands in the text files. Did you see if the skills have changed? If not, you can revalidate your files and try hex editing again.
I have the same problem how do you fix it

I did something wrong with the installation? That is not clear, I have done everything correctly according to the tutorial on youtube but it still just acts as a "say" command.
You can hexedit your game to not put any commands in say:
Download hexworkshop (this is where i download it) http://www.bpsoft.com/downloads/
then open it, click on files and search for Borderlands2.exe
then click ctrl+f and search for 83C40C85C0751A6A and change C0 to 00
then click ctrl+f and click on Hex Values and change it to Text String Unicode String Match Case and type in say (no uppercase) and change it all to 00.
Now it probably works (atleast with me it did)
