Axton not jumping far or high enough.

I'm trying to get a couple of challenges done and my Axton doesn't seem to be able to get the job done because he isn't jumping high enough or far enough. I'm at level OP 5. Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue? As always I appreciate any and all advice. Cheers.

What the challenge are you talkin' about?

You can jump higher using grenade jump or rocket jump.

Grenade jump: remove your grenade mod. throw one at your feet. the moment it explode, jump. you'll get a significant boost.

Rocket jump: this one will require farming. you'll need a badaboom (low level is better to not kill yourself) and a sham but this is optional ( used to aborb your own rocket to not run out of ammo)
Once you have those equipped: look at the ground. Jump and shoot

I'm sure you can find advanced video/tutorial about those on the web.

In case you choose the rocket jump method:
You can get the badaboom from King mong in eridium blight (remember to do it on normal for a low level one). The sham is a dropped assigned to Bnk3r ( any level and any % chance of absorbtion will be good enough for rocket jumping

Not sure about unaided jumps, but Krieg cant grenade jump like the others. He's too heavy.

Thank you for you're reply. Specifically, I am in Thousand Cuts and am doing the challenge that involves turning on the UHF radio tower. My problem with 'grenade jumping' is that when I need to make the jump I am standing on top of a steel I-beam and if I throw a grenade at my feet it bounces off of the beam and explodes far below me so I don't get any boost. I am going to give Monkey monk 777s reply a go today and if I score then I will post a reply here. Thanks again. Cheers!

shadowcaster504: Although this challenge is tough (one of the two in the game that are - both happen to be on the same map) you can do it without grenade jumping... just takes practice.

You need to stand at the very end of each beam before you jump. I find that it's easier if, after lining up your jump, you look at your feet and then make the leap. You can then see the beam you are landing on so as to not overshoot.

Acton can do it, and so can you without cheesing it. C'mon.

YUSSSS!!! I done went and did it! Took a lot of patience, sweat, cursing and trial and error but I finally made it to the top of the tower and pulled the switch. I took a couple of screenshots but have'nt figured out how to post them here, I will work on it. Cheers everybody and a special thank you to those who, without your help, I could'nt have done it.

Now, can you get Terra's vault symbol? THAT is the most difficult challenge of all...grrrr.

The UHF radio one is annoying, but once you figure out the route it is not too bad. Feels great the first time you do it though :)

u get sham on u lvl get speedy badaboom... unequip u nade... trow one in front of u and time... with rocket jump u can get pretty high...
