Bad story writing!
I think you are being a bit childish about it though, you dont play as her, and she isn't the main story plot, frankly the story is bit of a major downer as it seems to be more about wamen power, and even if you play as the siren you have no part in the story at all, no cutscene shows your character, it's like you vanish.
But the point of the game is to loot and shoot, thats all they really were bringing and mostly all that most of us really wanted, though I am really eager for big dlc to drop as the game is getting pretty stale at this point, it would be more fun if people online ever used a mic, and a lot of times you drop in a game and you beat a boss, or just do a side quest and then they boot you from the game.
Though I am playing on the console though so that could be part of it, thoguh I figured everyone by now would have a mic, heck I've only heard one kid ever use a mic in the entire time I been playing the game.
On another note Maya wasn't really a big plot point in bl2 either she wasn't in any cutscenes either, she was simply the most useful character to play in the game at least for me.
Wouldn't you rather gearbox be willing to take some risk and kill off some characters at some point? Heck I dont think the new siren is all that bad either she doesn't even come off as a sjw character like was being hyped up before release.
What do you mean? We only get to meat Zero and he is very much alive after Katagawa boss and Maya out of the six WHs from BL2. I found some Echo logs about Krieg and that was it... the rest was not even mentioned. (afaik)
The Gagie comment seems like a troll post tbh, but I duno...
In Borderlands 2 even 3 characters died.... Roland, Scooter and Bloodwing.
... so not many left from the original cast.
Some people realy just like to complain and hate on something.... and if there is no real argument left they start nitpicking about the most ridiculous stuff.
Good point I guess only maya was officially killed in bl3 that we actually see, no mention of the others I suppose at least where they are at and what they are doing, clearly no longer vault hunters though.
Maybe we will get lucky and they will be a big part of the dlc releases?
What is bugging me is where is Dr. Zed?
You do know that the execution of something that drastic plays a big factor into this, right?
BL2 handled those with inanticipation and great tenstion. Roland's death came out of nowhere, and I certainly didn't feel happy about Bloodwing's either. Not for a while ,and the writing certainly helped with that.
BL3 had none of that energy on those instances, I just rolled my eyes and asked myself why I'm playing this game. When something even remotely tense happened in BL3, it was followed by sh*tty comedy, or simply no one giving a damn.
to your question, no i didnt play borderlands 1, but i was still sad when Roland, scooter and bloodwing died even tho i had literally no bond to them
its not about "they died" its about how it happend.
if i play a game then i feel it, im not just playing because i want to play something, especially about the lore. its more about how they die.
they literally didnt give a fck about her dead that is my point
and as someone who really love the characters in the game im just saying they deserve more then that.
can you imagine a tomb raider game without lara croft? so i cant imagine a borderlands without maya.
call me childish or something but for me game characters are not just a character simple.
If you dont plan on getting bl3 thats completely your right, but I do feel if you were a fan of all the other games you are indeed missing out on a fun game, even if it's story is lacking, but who knows maybe the dlc will make up for it, which i expect since bl2 dlc adds a lot to the story or at least adds a lot more fun content and sillyness like tina's dlc or torq's. The holloween dlc for bl2 is the only one I really felt was total crap though. Too short.
