Hive rocket launcher drop from Scarlett?
So it appears with the community patch you can still raid the treasure room but it has added some additional steps to light the beacon and kill scarlett's henchmen before you can get eaten by the Leviathon in wurmwater.

Long story short, I was fighting captain scarlett earlier when she dropped the hive rocket launcher in addition to her pistol.

I took multiple screenshots.

The wiki sais this is only dropped by Saturn. In fact I recall trying to farm Saturn for this rocket launcher a few dozen times with no luck.

Does anyone know if this additional scarlett drop is associated with the community patch?

I think you're misreading the wiki.

It's an item that is Saturn's designated drop. That doesn't mean it can't also be a world drop. Most legendaries are also world drops, which means they can drop from any suitable source.

It's very rare of course, but it does happen.

I've found all sorts of stuff in odd places. I've found at least one legendary simply by kicking one of those trash piles you find all over the world.

You can't kill Scarlett and she only drops the Greed, when she tries to teleport, so I am assuming you mean it dropped from Roscoe.

Yup, I was right.

Using Ctrl+F on the UCP wiki, I found exactly what you were referring to in the section titled "LOOT, DROP AND GENERAL CHANGES".
Number 57: Roscoe has a chance to drop the Hive now.

OP is using UCP:

I also wanted to recommend that if you are planning to try out the community patch, I recommend using the automated patcher tool per the "Borderlands Patcher" program.

Some people might be worried about install time like I was.

It takes about 2 minutes.
You just gotta remember to run "exec patch.txt" in the console in the game menu.

There are multiple ways to install the patch. Using the automated patcher is the easiest and least complicated method IMO.

Ahh, well... yeah, the UCP pretty much increases chances of stuff to drop, and gives lots of things expanded loot tables. Basically ... it showers you with loot (relative to the base game).

Personally I think it makes the game too easy, but you do you.

I agree with you. Especially bringing the cursed Grog Nozzle back. Noob gun, in my opinion.

First, Hive CAN NOT world drop, its only dedicated drop is ONLY Saturn, buddy.

Second, UCP adds Hive to Roscoe, BlasteR and it makes Roscoe respawnable enemy so you can farm him instead of Saturn :)

I actually prefer not to use the grog nozzle. I just got slagga w/ just under 10 fire rate tho tonite. Been trying to get that for a while. Slagga is like permanently in my #3 slot.

A note on Roscoe adn the community patch, if you plan on running through to get to the treasure room again, you only get 1 kill on roscoe with the community patch per quest now.

If you save and exit before or after killing the Leviathon, Roscoe doesn't respawn anymore. Also, with the community patch, if you save/exit after killing the Leviathon he instantly dies when the battle scene starts when you get back there.

This is handy if you plan on farming the treasure room/glitch for pearls.
