You can try to take cover from her dive bomb attacks by crouching behind one of the ammo crates on the left side, in the first alcove, or similarly on the right side. Equip an adaptive shield if you have one. Use healing nades and weps. Dodge the other baddies that spawn, these are FFYL fodder. Don't match elements with Bloodwing. Explosive may be best. Slag if you have it, slagged baddies take double damage in normal and true modes, triple in UVHM.
This is a tough fight when on-level, let alone SIX levels below her.
Just did this with Krieg. I actually created a save point at the creature slaughterdome en route to Bloodwing, then farmed the baddies there for a while to level up (and in the process, tried to get Pimon to drop the Transformer.
Personally, I'd leave.
Do some side missions.
But I would say, its best to save quit and do some killing to get to the same level as Bloodwing, and make sure you are using guns that are on, or close to your level so the damage reduction doesn't get so bad. Even in normal mode I try to keep my weapons within 3-5 levels of what my char is at that way the enemies don't just sponge them and make the fights take un unbearable amount of time.
Until the next tough spot. Repeat.
I tend to be cynical in cases like this. People that post here for help honestly tend to respond to truly helpful responses made to their own threads. These are the people looking to learn and get better. They respect the responses they receive from others.
Of the rest, many are typically motivated to selfish-post b/c they are looking for shortcuts of some sort. They can't play without them; these are the generalized Sals and players who dupe/gib their way past sticky points rather than learn. Short-term mentality. Fun for a while.
I'm willing to be proven wrong in the OPs case, but what I wrote is likely the case. If they had appreciated the effort in the responses they'd at least indicate that they tried some of them.
My guess is that they went the way of having an OP8 or similar kill Bloodwing for them. I'm led to this conclusion since they were a) so under-leveled, and more importantly (b) they didn't want to fight their way through the Preserve again - even though in NVHM when on-level it would be much easier. The Preserve is one of the spots in the story where there is a definite and noticeable ramp-up in difficulty.
These latter two points are the kicker for me. How they made it to Bloodwing while 4-6 levels under the baddies encountered is surprising. I recently did it with Krieg in NVHM and found that I couldn't beat Bloodwing while only two levels below her. I might have had more success in that situation as Maya...but six?
The fact they indicated that they found Bloodwing so tough...I'm guessing that they did the Preserve in a group with more than one Maya (or were being power leveled), but then found themselves solo against the bird and couldn't handle it.
Thanks for the help everyone!
thats fine for NVHM but don't do this for TVHM, you want to wait until after the final boss to start all side missions on TVHM so those weapons will help ya better on UVHM
what I did to get my leveling up for TVHM storyline is do the DLC missions in NVHM
