What are the chances of a legendary appearing in stores?

In Borderlads 2 without any community patches or save editing. It feels like a unicorn XD. You are DAMN lucky.
Even Chuck Norris doesn't have so much luck :P

i also found the Pandemic grenade mod (level 15) on the ammo/grenade store, but i didnt take a screenshot of that

I never found any legendary in Borderlands 2 at weapon shop. But i found 2 or 3 times in Borderlands pre sequel.
EDIT: notice i have around 250-265 hours in bl2.

in the first borderlands game, legendaries appeared in stores somewhat often

I've got 2000 hours in the game and I'm pretty sure I've never seen an orange in the gun store. Ironically, though, I did get a Legendary Hunter com from the health store next to that one. maybe those are lucky stores

my first game a long long time ago i ended up finding a legendary mod around 19ish or something like that... didnt screenshot because at the time i had no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue it was rare for that to happen... havent seen one since then

Same... I was so excited that I even sold my hand held weapons to buy a legendary Soldier com on Axton when I was level 15 or something....

Ironically, I don't use that com on my axton.

i've gotten a Neogenator from a med vendor in the Torgue DLC some months back, and once got an early Lyuda (a Lvl-11 version to be exact) upon entering Sanctuary for the first time about maybe 2-years ago

i sacrificed my Hornet to buy the Pyrophobia because i had nothing else to sell and Hornet is incredibly easy to farm

be careful when using the Pyrophobia, as the fire novas will somehow put you into FFYL when firing it

i havent had that happen to me, because the fire novas activate after the rocket has traveled some distance

It's a little easier to get something good from a Zed machine than a gun machine, because the Item of the Day pool for gun machines also contains skins. Also, there are more Zed machines than there are gun machines.

I got several legendary class mods and an Impaler out of Zed machines but only once saw an orange in a gun machine (a Madhous).

... while very low chance for Leg. in shop is somewhat ok , what is bad, its that they always[at least for me] apear for levels lower even than the story.COMs are still good sinse you get % bonus and skill points, but weapons and shielda are almost useless. In Borderlands (1) you can find items higher lvl than you and use them for longer ...
