You can't play LAN, period.

And you can never access the same game while playing it, meaning as soon as you start the game, your brother will get a warning to save and shutdown the game and will be kicked out after a few minutes if they don't quit.

For online play, you need 2 games on 2 accounts. No LAN whatsoever.

but if you take a look in the game, in network options there is a LAN.
and if you get back to the main menu options number 3 changed from "matchmaking" to "find games" which is i believe that is looking for local area network only.
but im not sure tho, i've never done this before. thats why im asking this before i try

for offline play i mean steam is runnin' in offline mode and there is no internet connection.
