gold golem not respawing?

So I'm playing melee zer0 and I want to farm the gold golem for a bladed grog and I got past the part in the dlc where I kill he gold golem, but he's not respawing when I save quit and go back in game, do I just need to finish the dlc to make him respawn?

Not possible to do that anymore. You're better off having someone else give the Grog Nozzle to you or use Gibbed.

did they really take him out as a refarmable boss? even with the community patch?

They haven't removed the golden golem itself. Gearbox removed the Grog Nozzle from it's loot pool after the Loot Hunt event that was held in 2013. You can read more about it in the wiki page link below:

You have to finish the mission (open the door to the next level with the rune stones) and then you can go back to farm him.
BTW: The gold golem doesn't drop a Grog Nozzle without UCP

There's a mod on github like 'grog nozzle quest reward' for clappies 'bearded..' quest. Don't have a link, you have to search.

Nope. Grog as reward is custom addition, not the part of UCP.

The timeline for Grog in the vanilla game : From the mission The Beard Makes the Man, then GBX made it lootable but only briefly during the "$100,000 Loot Hunt", then it reverted to The Beard Makes the Man and has stayed there. The UCP added Grog back as a farmable item from GGolem which is where it's stayed in the UCP. So lukeboys1 you had it right in your discussion but I'm sorry I can't help you with GGolem's not respawning in your game - sounds like maybe a corrupt file? Suggest you may want to post this on Gearbox' BL2 Tech Help forum (or email them with it) - if they can't solve it no one can. Good luck!

Pretty sure mausilibaer is on the right track. You have to finish the mines and go to hatred shadow b4 it respawns.
However, if you did this already, something's wrong.
