Also ... I'm sorry to have to inform you of this, but you should know ... Southpaw Steam and Power is one of the maps that's most notorious for physx bugs. Stuff falls through the floor sometimes. Try to learn (using cheap junk you don't care about) which sections are stable and which aren't, and try to kill the bosses when they're standing on the stable parts.
You can also fight the assassins at the Peak. I've hand a fair few Emperors drop there over the years, including one a couple of weeks back. Might not classify as prime "farming" given the time needed to get there, but it sure is fun!
The LLMs drop the Emperor too. I had one drop at the Preserve after a midget spawn from a chest enroute to the four LLM boxes.
The Emperor doesn't do anything special and faces a strong competition in its respective class but even on OP8 it performs well enough.
