Hornet's Nest Zer0 Skin from Ultimate Badass Varkid?

I got one to drop from an Ultimate Badass Varkid and I am confused as it is only from the Halloween Shift Code. Is it susposed to drop from UBA Varkids?

Any badass can drop those skins I think. I had a badass savage drop the Maya skin - Fright of the Bumblebee a while back.

I haven't seen them drop, but the notes for the last update include the following, which may explain it:

Some skin customizations that previously did not drop from any source can now drop in-game

Those were actually in the game before that update. But they're extremely rare. FWIW, the only ones I've seen came from "piles", not enemy drops.

You may be kidding, but, for the record, I don't have them anymore. The Community Day drops were originally "bugged" and wouldn't be saved with your character. If you found one, it was literally a case of "use it or lose it". That last game update supposedly fixed that, but I haven't found one since then (I haven't played as much since then).

Even though they have supposedly been fixed, if you do ever find one, you might want to make sure to use it before you exit to the menu, just in case.

Honestly, based on my experience, if you want to get them in any kind of reasonable time frame, you pretty much have to get them some other way. If someone has gotten one of those items since the last update, I guess they could give it to you (I think they're supposed to work like regular items now). Then again, there's a good chance that anyone that has those items now used Gibbed to get them (or got them from someone that used Gibbed).

FWIW, I was lucky and got all of them when they were first added as drops. They were originally glitched and were actually very common drops from certain things, like the bullymong piles at the beginning of Normal Mode.

I want the skins, but I don't want people to mock me for using gib. I hope Borderlands 3 triggers the skins to become commonly obtainable again. :(

I'd mock you for begging, but not for showing some initiative and being willing to get off your butt and do something to get what you want. Especially since they're cosmetics. Gibbed version 256.

Yeah, I don't see a problem with someone using Gibbed to get free heads/skins that you can't reliably obtain in the game (You can only get them by being extremely lucky. Over and over :-).
