How to remove Premiere CLub DLC? (Solved)
As much as I would like an early advantage when I start a new character, I want to keep the experience vanilla for my first playthrough but the game still gives me these gearbox starting items. I found the the premier club is mostly the one responsible for this so I tried to untick it from the DLC. However it turned to not be enough as everytime I start new character the gearbox weapons are still there. How do you remove this DLC?

Okay ... what you get for that are three yellow Gearbox weapons (an AR, an SMG and a Sniper), the Contraband Sky Rocket (a grenade mod) and a Relic (which gives you a TINY boost to your chance to find rare loot). You can just sell all that stuff to the first vendor you find if you want.

Technically, Gaige is also part of that pack.

These days all that stuff is bundled into the GOTY version of the game.

None of those weapons (with the possible exception of the Sky Rocket) are useful past about level 3. If you don't want the advantage, just don't use them. Sell them when you get to Liarsberg. Scaling in this game is very aggressive, loot gets old, quickly. Those are weak, level one, white quality weapons, they're not going to make much difference.

Right at the start, drop them off at clappys winter refuge. On the table where they are playing cards. If you do this, you'll exit clappys with a definite vanilla essence about your person.

they are not to much superior... sky rocket is thing...

When Claptrap gives you the echo, drop the items on the ground and leave them there.

I don't know if going to your DLC and deselecting the Premier Club works or not. I also don't understand the need for this thread when it is clear you have the option to drop the items on the ground and leave them behind.

I think OP is making this harder then it is

Then I guess you don't need to know that I'm playing this with a controller instead :B

With all due respect, why would that change anything?

You still have the options to drop, or sell those items.

Or just not use them.

Regardless of what sort of I/O you're using, you're over thinking the whole thing. Those items are a trivial blip on the screen meant only to ease the first 10 to 15 minutes of play.

This or some other idiot trolled with this exact garbage a few months ago. Doesnt anyone remember that thread? Im thinking its the same weak troll trying his luck again. But, feel free to waste your time, folks.

Sheesh I'm just asking if it's possible to remove this specific DLC. I hadn't thought about dropping the weapons when I posted this so I at least thank those who spent the time even if it was so trivial. If it pleases you then I think its time this thread should be locked now.

Under your Steam Library in Borderlands 2, find the Premiere Club DLC and un-check it. Hope this helps.
It didn't change anything. Its why I asked. i even reinstalled without it ticked but somehow its like it was installed. Alas Ill just settle for dropping them.

I read twice, my bad.

But what I'd do is after Sir Hammerlock turns on the power, sell those starting items to any of those vending machines to get some money.

hey, you said you'd solved this. any idea how to remove the premier club guns? it's infuriating how allergic this community is to playing without 'horse armor'

The only solution everyone else seems to subscribe to is to just drop everything at the start. nothing else I can do.

to actually remove these items from ever showing up you need to uncheck the mechromancer dlc, but then you cant use gaige and like everyone else said, theyre garbage items that are really only usable for the first few levels until you get to liars burg, although skyrocket is a decent late game grenade as its damage scales based on your level.
