So, either Troy Baker is lying or someone at Gearbox is lying. But considering the exclusivity deal between Gearbox and Epic, it would not at all surprise me if this was just another move by greedy corproate suits to save a little extra on production costs by not paying a professional his due for his work and, instead, substituting someone else.

Randy Pitchford can talk a big game about how Gearbox and Epic are attempting to revolutionize the gaming market and liberate the consumer and developer alike from "Valve's monopoly on the gaming industry", but this latest piece of news just helps to confirm what many of us have already realized.

That Randy Pitchford cares only to milk as much money out of BL3 as possible . He isn't doing it for Epic, he isn't doing it to undermine Steam, he isn't doing it for the benefit of developers or for consumers. He's doing it just so he can line his own pockets with a little extra cash even if it means cutting corners in production. Just so long as he can slap the Borderlands label on it and market it for 60 USD a copy with future plans to release DLC's for 20 USD or more a piece on release days..

i don't think troy would lie about a character he gave 75% of his personality to.. he said it himself he couldn't wait to play Rhys again.. but i guess they didn't want a voice actor with a high price since they want the money

yes. that is really sad but i believe troy. Randy is a known liar and i believe that troy wanted to do the voice. i agree with EnoLighto that gearbox is greedy as is 2k and they did not want to pay the cost of a great voice actor. it is a shame really.
