Buy Borderlands 3 on 2K Store
Do you still have to use Epic Game Launcher? I can't find anything that tells you that you can or cannot play it without the Epic Launcher.

as of its first 6 months: you will play on egs if you buy it, simple as that, doesn't matter which storefront you use.

after? we do not know
Do you know if Hard Copies of Borderlands 3 will be sold in retail stores?
i mean they have to, consoles exists, but any Pc copy will connect to EGS, you cannot avoid it for the first 6 months.

You will have to initially. It remains to be seen whether purchasing from the 2K store will provide a steam key when the steam release arrives.

all the rest were asking "why get it here" which is a different bag of worms, but point of order: statements like this are how you start that drama

I'm just asking if anyone knows if you can install borderlands 3 without any sort of Launcher, sort of like older games like Diablo 2 and such.

Edit: I asked 2K this very same question, didn't actually answer it, just told me EGS will be coming with more features in the future and that EGS is very determined to do good etc etc.

I heard that BL3 keys are being sold on Greenman Gaming. You still have to download it on the Epic store. I don't what offline vs online functionality there will be.

Yeah I heard they are doing stuff with Humble Bundle as well, but it's weird because Greenman Gaming is 70/30 split just like steam. :(

I think it might be a reaction to not selling as many units on Epic as they were anticipating.

Good point, thanks everyone who answered politely and didn't make it into a flame EGS thread.
I guess the other thing is to buy an Xbox version and hope that someone makes an emulater to use it on PC without going through Epic. I don't know what the odds of that are. I am a little surprised to not see mention of this.

It's very unlikely that there is going to be an emulator for Xbox one anytime soon, and Borderlands 3 is probably not going to be a play anywhere title.

Epic Games exclusives are a nice way to bring back the piracy
dimi 18/abr./2019 às 16:36
Pirate or wait until the steam release. Either way, you can see this in a positive light. While the game is out on epic, they will have fixed mayor bugs for the steam release, so your steam experience should be smoother than the epic one. Less bugs = more fun.

Plus, epic is still inferior to steam when it comes to features. There is no point in going there, unless you have ADHD and can´t wait 6 months for a game. just play some backlog games, I´m sure you got unfinished or untouched games sitting on your steam library. Play those in the meantime.
