or go for slag turret
middle tree end skill is just worse then the other 2 especially in UVHM
I know from the number of times I've attempted to use a launcher to get a second wind. Thankfully the Norfleet is a thing...too bad getting one is a pain.
Axton, being one of the original Vault Hunters in BL2, was not designed with UVHM in mind as that feature didn't come until later. So, it's understandable that some of his skills are terrible for the mode, especially the middle tree skills.
Then you either want to go to Gunpowder and hit Longbow and Do or Die. An alternative to that is to go survival and get Phalanx Shield and Mag - Lock.
My build would look like this: http://bl2skills.com/commando.html#50055145015005014010005000000000
His kill skills Metal Storm and Onslaught are really good. I can't recomend them enough.
If you are dealing with lots of loaders, go back and farm a Hornet from Knuckledragger. It is one of the quickest farms in the game. Getting a corrosive relic would be helpful too although you are long way from farming loot midgets, you could farm Tinder Snowflake and hope that a corrosive relic comes on the Loot train.
Actually, his middle tree is where some of his best skills are. Metal Storm and Battlefront are top tier skills. Do or Die is a game changer. One point for a 10% grenade and rocket damage plus being able to chuck grenades in FFYL. Its kind of stupid OP with the Fastball grenade or just about any other grenade mod. Considering that a lot of guns with splash damage is also considered grenade damage, it is makes even makes his Torgue and Tediore reloads even better.
Oh, I completely forgot about that! My bad. Yeah. Tossing grenades in FFYL is definitely a good choice in any mode of play, especially if you've maxed out his grenade cap (which is freaking ridiculous!).
I got a pointman with last ditch effort and pressure, and a 30% cooldown relic
dropped the difficulty down to TVHM and played Torgue DLC for the first time to gear up.
Fun build, I just run around at ludicrous speed hitting everything point blank in the face with a 8330x13 +50% Jakobs Tidal Wave (gets 2 shots as fast as you can pull the trigger, and then reload is almost instant because of talents). Farmed the tier 3 bar brawl easily. Savescummed to get a nice Corrosive Kitten that should help on that fight when I come back to it.
Or that enemies that already had some damage reduction against explosive on normal have a higher one in TVHM or UVHM, although that's only a small number of enemies I believe (at least some in Tiny Tina do).
I still I think it's just because they have so much more health.
