I'm not one to grind out leveling by farming enemy xp though, so someone else might be able to help better in that regard. Personally I like to stick with the first 1/3 of the main story followed by doing some Torgue and Tiny Tina DLC, both of those give enough good weapons with the various main and side quests to keep me well equipped as I level higher and higher.
3 loot chests in Badass Crater
finish Appetite for Destruction mission to unlock access to Torgue Arena.
3 more loot chests there.
Thousand Cuts - get Rocko's Modern Strife as soon as it's available. LLM's.
good source for class mods and Ancient Relics.
plus the occasional loot chest.
the second set of Treant's in the Forest - Bee shield
there are others, but that's the easiest farm.
depending on where you are Story mission-wise, certain locations have a farmable loot chest nearby.
the one-way Fast travel in End of the Line, just before Wilhelm, is an excellent example.
don't like what's in the chest ?
save/quit..restart...repeat.
the red loot chest under Blake Bridge in the Highlands is another one.
gear is easy to find once you know where and when to look.
and how much time and effort you're willing to spend getting what you want/need.
For my first uvhm playthrough, I just hit the story and also did a bunch of googling on what quests can potentially get me gear I wanted. Since it all levels to you at this point, being 50, you're in a good place. Many weapons you find along the way will help. All the legendaries etc are cool, but are not required. And if you need a specific drop, open that particular quest or side quest line and get it! The best news is, you can reset uvhm , so you can farm that particular item at a higher level whenever you want.
Oh and slag..use slag like all the time. Makes life so much easier. You'll be auto slagging everyone quickly, itll be 2nd nature.
I really started to get into the dlc quests as well. Because of a bit of boredom, but also for the cool newer weapons and mods etc.
I also really enjoy farming raid bosses with some friends or even solo once you have a decent gear setup for that particular boss. Bosses like URANUS are great for tons of drops.
There is also lots of farming options for repeatable chests. I believe some of the other fellows here made mention of them, but I cant recall atm
I dabbled with the dlcs alot and ended up finishing that 1st uvhm run around..um level 68 or 69 if memory serves
Totally bookmarking this. Thanks
And don’t forget about Marcus’ loot train
you're quite welcome.
learning the various farming locations scattered throughout the gameworld, makes things easier.
yeah but that doesnt stop you from hitting up the campaign as per usual, or doing some dlc along the way. or jump in with those of similar level in matchmaking for fun and exp
2 areas in the Main game always interested me.
Three Horns Divide, and Thousand Cuts.
why ?
because in certain areas in those maps during NVHM and TVHM, loot comes in 2 levels.
the back end of Bloodshot Stronghold is another spot to farm.
You're playing Axton, who has many skills that benefit explosive weapons. Some easily accessible farms from relatively early in the game: Unkempt Harold, can be farmed from Savage Lee as soon as you enter Sanctuary. Right next to him is Boll with the Fastball, after you meet Lilith. After meeting Tina you can farm the Baby Maker from Madame Von Bartlesby. All powerful weapons to begin with, and Axton can really make them shine.
I have shock and burn fastball’s level 50 and all 4 element Lyuda’s, I guess I will have to go out of dlc and farm, not getting to the good farming spots here yet that I know of
I have done that mission but when I went back to farm he’s not spawning, does the dlc need completed first?
I have a bee that I tried and got slaughtered in this dlc, went back to antagonist
