Gaige Sucks

ya she sucks later on, if the game would remember her anarchy after leaving a game she would be fine but its not fun stacking 10-20miuntes before you can start playing properly. salvador and maya are the best and most fun classes in my opinion.

I freaking love Gaige, and have beaten UVHM with her solo. I know its personal choice, but please don't hate on her.

Gaige is easy mode, she's a breeze to play with. Just pre-stack Anarchy to about a hundred on Moxxi's piano before you go anywhere (or on the many Hyperion boxes scattered around most maps). The right white Jakobs shotty with a mag size of 2 plus a Prodigy class mod and the right build can get you to 100 Anarchy in about a minute. After that, you can one/two-shot any slagged badass in TVHM or UVHM with a simple Ravager, Quad, or any other high-damage close-range weapon. And we're not even talking about using some of the really broken stuff on her like Fibber, CC, Harold, Hail, Pimpernail, Twister, etc.

As for survivability - Bloodsoaked shields + any high-capacity shield (for the love of all that is holy, don't use the Bee on her for anything other than raid bosses) + Otto's Idol or any Moxxi weapon + Gaige's incredible kill speed = immortality.

Or, if Anarchy's not your thing, you can just put a melee shield on DT and watch him anihilate everything for you. Either way, she's infinately more fun than boring point-and-click-Sal from my pov. :)

10-20 mins?! What are you stacking with, a Bandit AR?! Gaige can easily stack to 150-200 in 2-3 minutes. Just get the right 2-mag Jakobs shotgun with <2sec reload speed. From there, any Prodigy class mod, Chaotic Good Necromancer class mod, or Legendary Mechro/Anarchist class mod can get her to high stacks while you're still fixing your seat.

Edit2: As a rule of thumb, if you ever decide that any of the 6 BL2 classes is "much worse than the rest", chances are that you just haven't figured out how to play said class. Every class excells and can breeze through OP10 UVHM as long as you know how to play them.

thats not fun if you plan on playing 1h its not fun wasting half of it to get to 600 stacks. but im not aloet with this opinion, the BL3 character skills trees are know and none of them has such a stupid mechanic. same as jack in TPS with his money. stackable skills that take so long to max and simple reset by a game crash/host switch are utterly garbage. if that would have a better mechanic i would put gaige on the same level as salvadore, this way she is the worst class for me.

Again, it doesn't take 30 minutes to stack her Anarchy to usable levels (and you definitely don't need 600 stacks for mobbing - you don't need 600 stacks even for most raid bosses, 250-350 is the perfect zone usually).

I'm not saying that it's not a pretty dumb mechanic - it is. And you're right, that's why they haven't done it again. But if it takes you 30 minutes to stack her Anarchy than you're doing something VERY wrong - it takes 2-3 minutes at most, and the rest is easily done in-combat.

I normally don't worry about the stacks and let them build as they may, but my current tool for building as I shoot things in the face is this (on my newest Gaige).

Gaige is only good for players that doesn't even care about aiming or playing the game carefully with skill, like a Sniper Zer0 build for example. Just stack up Anarchy, shoot at the ground and everything is dead lol. Not my favorite playstyle at all, she's a waste of my time as well.

She is good and comparing her to sal is wrong because he is a walking glitch. But she is far from bad. Not DT is bad and at endgame is not much more then a glorified ♥♥♥♥♥♥ magnet. But when gaige can one shot every mob and some bosses with a twister she is far from bad.

If this is your first time playing gaige chances are you have no clue what the ♥♥♥♥ you're doing. Trust me my guy I was the same way but one of my friends told me what skills to spec into and what gear to have and all I had to do was give DT an element and slag the enemies. Sadly that file corrupted so I can't tell you what you need but gaige is a good character to play as you just need to really pay attention to what you're doing and what kind of player you are. Gaige is more for being passively aggressive, Salvador is 100% aggressive so it's no wonder she isn't as good. Her skills are more set for DT to inflict elemental damage over time and self healing as DT can regenerate shields and HP. Gunzerker is all about DPS.

So, you haven't put anything on Smaller, Lighter, Faster or any of the other skills in that tree? A 2-mag shotty works better if you've leveled up SLF. Also, there are Jakobs shotties with below 2 sec reload speed. But 2.3 is good too. :)

You don't need to only shoot at the ground and "not aim at all" - 150 stack Gaige can easily hit crits from medium distance with a lot of weapons and has enough damage to go through UVHM. You can choose how much Anarchy you use and what your playstyle is going to be.
