He is somewhat Overpowered (but not invincible!) vs Flesh enemies, regardless of whether you are using a gun, melee or hybrid build.
Killing armored enemies with a melee build is irritating because some Loaders can't have their arms chopped off, so they can still shoot you, in addition to most armoured enemies having much higher HP values than flesh enemies. Recommend going for a hybrid or gun build against them.
Skill tree is honestly dependent on the class mod you are using, what type of damage you are going for (gun, melee or hybrid) and what enemies you are going up against, unlike other characters where you can produce a "one build beats all", Krieg requires a bit more planning and thought, compared to what most people think.
