How to remove shadows?
The game runs very badly. Even on low settings. BL 1 ran at a smooth 60 without shadows. But with that game, the option to remove them was there. I think I have to some file digging to remove shadows here. Someone please help

Set the file as Read Only in properties.
There will be just generic shadow lightbulbs from now on.

If that makes his computer run 60fps then you need to make a thread about it.

Might be a good idea to disable Steam Cloud as well as it might overwrite your changes. Just don't forget to make backups of your saves manually from time to time.

I can't tell if people are trying to help or are just giving specs to look smart

(Yes, I'm impatient, I'm having a rough week, and I rather not speak of what happened. It's saddening to say the least)

Aw, I'm sorry for whatever happened. Best of wishes to you :ss2heart:

I'm also not sure why people are posting their random specs-- not really helpful, imo.

In regard to the lag, another good way to kill lag is to close any background programs-- Chrome, Spotify, Discord, etc. Also, turn realtime off for any anti virus software (and turn it back on, when not in BL2, if you want).

I'm not sure why you're getting that bad of lag though. Your specs are alright, from what I saw. If you already have all of the graphics on low, and resolution at low, I don't think disabling shadows is gonna help (but I could be wrong).

Can I ask a couple more questions?

- When BL2 is running, open task manager, what's the percentage of your CPU, memory, and disk? If any are 100%, click on the respective title twice (like, click 'CPU' twice), to see what has it running at 100%.

- Are you running fullscreen or windowed?
