lv 50 zero trying to get to 72

currently lv 50, i was trying to do the mad maw xp farming in UVH mode but mad maw is only lv 37 (shouldn't he be higher level than me?) everytime i kill him i only get 9 EXP... which defeats the purpose. any tips ? in addition, if someone doesn't mind helping me get up a few levels please add me .. thanks a lot! looking for a 50 sham and norfleet for beatdown bar thanks in advance.

Start playing in UVHM. Baddies, missions, rewards, AND XP all scale to your level. You'll start collecting reasonable XP again.

Bad Maw is at level 37 as that was the level that you first encountered him in TVHM; in that play through missions have varied level caps, not to mention that missions/areas take on the level at which you first accepted or entered them. You can't be in UVHM with him at level 37. It doesn't work that way.

Looking to shamfleet? Why not gib yourself what gear you desire?

what i am saying is i am playing in the UVH MODE and when i go back mad maw he is only at lv 37 while i am lv 50. shouldn't his level scale to my level in the UVH mode? thanks for your input

Then you clearly are still in the second mode for whatever reason if nothing is scaling to your level...

This is just it. You can't be in UVHM if Bad Maw is level 37. UVHM starts at level 50.

Plus, two things:

1. You'd know you were in the third play through as you'd have restarted the story, meeting Claptrap in the snow outside his place; and

2. With point 1 above in mind, you'd then need to work your way through the story in UVHM to the point where you've had Ellie whip up a bandit car so that you could enter his area to meet him again. At that point, he'd be somewhere in the order of level 55 or L56 (I never pay attention to this).

Just play the game and don't worry about leveling up. There's no magical new content awaiting you at L72. Now, in UVHM, is the time to do all the DLC your heart desires, for great loot AND xp.

A thought occurred are you playing in a different language other than english by any chance. In English the second play-through is True Vault Hunter mode, however, in other languages the second play-through translates to Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode

You'd then be experiencing something that hundreds of thousands of players over the years haven't experienced.

Unless, somehow, your toon is muffed up because of Gibbed or CE. Never heard of this though.

Interestingly enough they got lazy and it literally translates to Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode 2.

I can't speak for all non-English countries, but it is true for Spanish and French. Caused quite the confusion with some of my friends for awhile as I tried to explain about Ultimate mode and they were saying it wasn't true. Was hysterical afterwards though.

That screenshot only shows that your toon is level 50 and Bad Maw is level 37.

Go look at the vending machines and see the levels of the gear for sale. They'll be ~L37 as well.

You choose the play through after you select your toon and press "continue". You'll be given the choice of what mode to play in.

You've likely pressed TVHM (the second play through) by mistake.

Brah...your screenshot itself even says True Vault Hunter Mode.

You don't have Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode unlocked.
