Bloodshot Stronghold secondary path?

There's a locked door I can't open in that big huge circular room. What's behind there? There's an area on my map that still has the fog of war on it, and its bugging me. I see an additional path that's hidden somewhere in the middle there I can't seem to get to.

The area your talking about is for a side quest from Tannis. farming it gives quite good Exp if your on level for it.

That secondary path is the exit from the Splinter Group side quest, which (as FortyBass said) comes from Tanis (in Sanctuary).

The entrance is in the big rectangular room with the doors that you come to early on.

You can't enter that area the first time you go through the Bloodshot Stronghold. The side-quest that unlocks that area only comes after the mission for Roland You can pick up that side-quest from Tannis once you return to Sanctuary.

Yeah there's an area with an upper level and a lower water level, and that leads around to some giant gate-like obstruction/valve door/thing.

I assume it leads to the locked door in the giant round room? lol

Yep that's the one, there are several rooms and hallways behind that though.
