Thank you for commenting! I would love to know how to hex edit "Properly", i opened hex edit, directed it to my BL2 application, then it asked if i wan't to apply console patch so i said yes and that's all i have done... I would love to hear from you again! :)
You might want to check the disable insanity checks in case the mods you use need it, and you can also increase the maximum bank and inventory space if you'd like that.
Other than that you should be good to go.
As for the fatal error, try going trough that part without the mod and see if it works.
You can always quit out after you've gone to the next area and load up the mod after that.
FYI, you should always start mods from the main menu, never in-game.

You need to hex edit borderlands2.exe to use any sort of mod. Download and install BorderlandsHexMultitool (google it).
