Unable to find my .exe file for borderlands 2
So I have been trying to install the most recent community patch for Borderlands 2 when I go to hex edit the borderlands 2 .exe file it is not there. I am and have been able to play and run the game fine. The file has never been there since I downloaded the game I am unsure of what I should do.

I have attempted that and it just comes up with the application.

Well, yeah, Borderlands2.exe is the "application" (ie. the BL2 program). Your system probably isn't showing the .exe extension (I think that's the default). Maybe that's throwing you off?

Did you look here?
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Borderlands 2\Binaries\Win32

Yes that is where I have checked for the file. It is not there what so ever.

Do you have another place games are installed?

Right click Borderlands 2 in your library, select properties, go to local files and click Browse local files. This will take you to the install folder and you can navigate to binaries and win32 from there.

I also tested that. I am on windows 10 and I am not sure if that could have any thing to do. I have seen other people with the problem that try reinstalling. Would you reccomend trying that?

Have you tried just searching your system for Borderlands2.exe (no spaces) ?

I have attempted that and it just comes up with the application. I may try reinstalling the game and then check. Just making sure I wont lose my characters when I uninstall it.

You do have Borderlands2.exe and and if you use the launcher you do have that too. The PC can't run on imaginary executables.

Did someone set them to hidden ? Maybe set the folder options to show hidden files?
The author of this topic has marked a post as the answer to their question.

That was the problem. Thank you for the help. When I go move something into the same file it is under the .exe
