Powerful weapons for UVHM Maya
Hello everyone, so right now I'm in UVHM with my level 56 Maya, and I have a problem, I feel like I don't have enough fire power without something like a Bee shield, but I don't want to be forced to use it all the time, any suggestions or ideas for my Maya right now?

Well, the first place to check is ... the Top Gear For Maya thread:

https://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/t/top-gear-for-maya-the-siren/46185

You might also want to post your build for us: https://bl2skills.com/siren.html#000000000000000000000000000000

In general, I'd suggest looking for SMGs, the Lascaux in particular is a great SMG to use to level with during UVHM, since it can be replaced as often as you want.

https://borderlands.fandom.com/wiki/Lascaux

A Legendary Siren class mod, or a Cat mod, or (when you can get it) a Legendary Cat are all good.

I'd also suggest getting a Bone of the Ancients in every flavor.

Well it is a bit of an issue in the game. The higher you go the more tempting it is to use a multi-pellet weapon like a Kitten or a Sandhawk and The Bee. I have to say that I use The Bee all the time but then only use the Sandhawk for serious enemies! The Kitten is still my favourite gun because it's very powerful and the health generation means you are pretty much invincible. There is not doubt that with that combination I end up getting incapped a lot less than teammates. But for sheer fun you want something like a Sawbar, Ogre, The FlorInentine is a super powerful gun too. There are of course the new Rainbow weapons too. In my opinion, the best mod is without a doubt the Legendary Siren ( although some would argue with that ) and the Bone of the Ancients and just amazingly good. Get them all and swap them to suit your weapon.

your damage rises with gun level: base damage * Lvl^1.13

monster HP rise with their level: base HP * Lvl^1.15

scissors, scissors, open wide...

I'd recommend the following : Sandhawk (fire, corrosive and shock)
A lady fist.
The Grog nozzle.
Unkempt Harold.
The Pimpernel sniper rifle.
A Vladoff Topneaa Launcher.
Cat class mod.
Bone of the ancients relic for every element.

With these items you can pretty much do most of the content UVHM has to offer while playing solo.
Your build is also very important so make sure you have a good build to make optimal use of these items.
Do keep in mind that the bee is basically the best shield for Maya in my opinion, though there are other options such as ; The transformer and the evolution.

I hope this helps!

at level 56, here's a build to consider :

https://bl2skills.com/siren.html#234101200032051010005522510501

for guns :
top slot : Maliwan sniper rifle
slot 2 : SMG, Vladof pistol, Vladof AR, Jakobs AR, etc.
slot 3 : slag
slot 4 : alternate element ( i.e.- primary - fire, alternate - corrosive )

for slots 2-4, try to use a different weapon type for each.
like :
2- SMG
3- Pistol
4- AR

Thanks for your suggestions everyone, my main problem is the fact that, either things like the Sandhawk are a one time get in UVHM unless you reset. Other things like the Topnea, Lady Fist, etc. aren't available to me at where I am in the story, currently I'm using all elemental Flying or Stopping Sandhawks with the Bee, Tungaska, (For Second Winds,) Grog Nozzle, and Either the Lyuda or Unkempt Harold.

The easy farms are the harold, fastball, and Lyuda, which are arguably the best weapons in the game. Plus you can get decent XP farming them. I feel like Maya + Ruin, Helios, cloud kill and a fast slag weapon is a pretty decent set up.She is an absolute beast.

Getting the right Sandhawk is going to be a pain. This is why I'm making a Zerker to do nothing but farm the Captain Scarlet DLC items lol

If you've reached level 56, and you're still using old level 50ish Sand Hawks, that's part of your problem. Weapons age based on level disparity, and every time you level in UVHM, so do your enemies.

The game has an aggressive gear obsolescence curve, but the higher level you are, the steeper that curve is. If you're playing in UVHM, then you need to be using UVHM gear. Hanging on to your aging gear is part of your problem. No matter how good it was when it was new, by 56, most of it is junk.

That's part of why I suggested you get yourself a Lascaux. Lascauxs are very easy to get, look at the wiki link I listed in my earlier post. You can go get a new Lascaux every level if you want. It's not a quest reward, it's just a drop in Frostburn Canyon.

The Unkempt Harold (don't bother with a DP version) and the Hornet are also both easy to get and to replace whenever you want.

The Unkempt Harold drops from Savage Lee, who hangs around in the Marrow Fields.
The Hornet drops from Knuckle Dragger, back on the Southern Shelf.

Those three guns are all very easy to get and very easy to keep updated.

Take a look at the spec Draekus showed you, there are three key skills for Maya: Ruin, Converge and Cloud Kill. With those three skills, Maya can consistently, repeatedly slag half the map.

Try to get yourself a Legendary Siren mod (those can drop at any level). They boost Gun damage, and lower your action skill cooldown. A Legendary Cat is good too, but you won't start seeing those before the early 60's.

Keep your eye out for Bones of the Ancients. Those also lower your cooldown skill, and also buff an elemental skills (Fire, Shock or Corrosion).

Update your gear. UVHM isn't about leveling. UVHM is about keeping your gear up to date and effective. Leveling is an incidental process that occurs while you're doing that (and which actively works against you).

You can't start farming a Lyuda until you have The Good, The Bad, and The Mordecai, at 56, he's unlikely to have unlocked that yet.
It's worthwhile to do the Mercenary Day headhunter dlc early in UVHM. The loot train is usually a good assortment of weapons, shieds, grenade mods, class mods, and eridium. Once you figure out how to beat him, he can be farmed efficiently anytime that you feel that your equipment isn't up to the task.

Part of the problem with difficulty with UVHM is because of the Bee shield. Don't feel like it is a crutch. Instead of nerfing the Bee, Gearbox just made the UVHM difficulty harder to compensate for the strength of the Bee and thereby making most other equipment obsolete. I would go and farm the treants for one every few levels or whenever you think that you need one. Its an easy farm and until you get an antagonist, it will should carry you through most of UVHM.

If you need access to Red chests without having to kill things, the Torgue DLC has 3 Red chests you can get, and all you need to do is drive around and do a bit of running. It's around a few minutes per run. Then you restart and doing all over again. Make sure you go through the Crater Bar so that you respawn in the map and near a Catch-a-ride.

Alright, first off, once again thank you for your information, but I feel like I haven't given enough info,

I am very aware about these drops and this type of Info, and I realized it today, and also realized that I need to get a new Bee Shield (I get it from the Treeants, as Hunter isn't available yet), as mine was 6 levels under, I've gotten to UVHM and Level 72 before with Krieg, and because he doesn't require much gear for melee builds, I wasn't sure what to use, I've been in this game and community for several years, but never had the experiences in UVHM, secondly, yes, the Lyuda is available right now, I accepted the quest before I started Bright Lights, Flying City. Right now I'm going for a good Lascaux with Flying ot Stopping with preferably a Dahl grip, and I plan on getting a new version of my Bee, Harold, Lascaux, and Lyuda every 3-4 levels. Is there any more info I should know, or anything I got wrong?

Yes, I have already done the Mercenary Day DLC and farmed it for little, but to no luck, might go back later though, and I don't feel like it's a crutch, I just want to try something new, different, and to be able to deal good damage without always having to wait or stay out of fire until my shield is back. Thanks for your info!

Yes, I was actually farming new weapons off all of these today, and I have leveled up once.
