So we all kinda know pre-sequel was boring because it felt very repetitive. Does BL3 feel that way?
Just trying to make sure it's not a hype thing before we all figure out it's another pre-sequel BL misfire.

Depends on the DLCs, pre sequel has crap DLCs so it sucks.

BL3 starts off shooting and doesn't stop. They learned from pre-sequal that if you just have people talk with no action it's boring.

Well the studio in charge of pre-sequal did get canned. The original BL2 team finished the first one and that's where they stopped.

I'm only halfway through the game, and I currently find it to be way more in common with TPS than BL2. The quest design is really bad. Virtually all of the quests feel like nothing more than paint by numbers, objective driven. Such as giving you a tour of a location. Sure, most game quests are objective driven in this way, but some do a better job of coming up with creative quests that keep you from thinking about the obvious objective the quest is driving.

BL3 does not. Which is a shame as everything else about the game (outside performance issues) is really great. But the quests and dialogue are really awful and amateurish. Very poorly thought out and feel like nothing but obvious busy work with an agenda. Not like inspired quest design.

Don't know about you, but I enjoy the villains dialogue. Specially at the end when things heat up. They made them seem psycho which isn't easy without making it feel forced.

The reduction of side quests is a blessing if you ask me. Did not enjoy doing majority of the side quests just to stay near the level requirements.

While Borderlands 3 is just basically more Borderlands, it does improve in some aspects compared to Borderlands 2, but takes a few steps back in others.
Some revieuws stated that it hasn't evolved enough which is a bit of a double-edged sword depending on one's personal preferences and what they expected out of the game.
It's a good game, but in my opinion it's not the best game in the series.
It did fall short of the hype surrounding it but whether that's due to the controversies surrounding it or the game itself is for you to decide.

I can assure you though that it's probably better then the pre-sequel, but not better then 2 in my opinion.
I hope this answers your question!

A lot of good stuff here fellas. Thank you.

You can find a lot of revieuws on the game on the internet and Reddit also has many topics about it.

Most negative points that the revieuws make seem to be concerning the controversies but as for the game itself they mainly mention that it's very buggy at the moment and the story and writing fall short.
Some people criticized the skill trees of the new vault hunters and felt they were less unique and less interesting then those in the previous instalments but that is very personal and everyone has different opinions on this.

I do not own the game myself as I'm waiting for it to release here but I have played the PS4 version for about 5 hours through friends and thus I can at least share my experiences with the game during that time.
I do agree with the negative points that were made as I did notice a lot of bugs and definetly agree that the writing and story are not that good.

With the exception of the first 5 minutes or so where you can't do anything but watch the intro movie, it's a different beast than BLPr. You get into it right away.

The prequel was entertaining to me

Yeah. I actually really enjoyed TPS. I did find though that endgame was pretty meh but altogether not a bad game. I hear a lot of people didn't like or understand the humour in TPS and quite a bit of it was targeted at us aussies. So it's easy to get why some didn't understand it.

OP, BL3 is boring in the same way. Almost all the quests feel the same, they are either fetch quests or 'tours' which gets old real fast. I have all characters lvl 50 with decent rolled legs so maybe it's just me. Crossing my fingers the dlc's are gonna be worth waiting for. ME personally I don't find BL3 engaging or entertaining like BL2 was, again it might just be me. Your experience maybe completely different.:bandit::athena:
