Must be a regional thing or some store-specific pricing, in PS4 store for germany the price is 20% higher. Now, if I could just check your profile to see where you are from I could just... oh, nvmd...

How is that greed? They had it up for sale since the previous purchased opened. That's the opposite of greed.

best trick of the devil is to make people think he doesnt exist, companys made the same with outrageous prices, i wont educate u on that, ur obviously ok with paying 100€ for a game when it costs 120€ a few days later, maybe u even feel good abt urself bc u made a "good deal"

i however remember a time where u got a complete game for 50€

if u want to open ur eyes u can watch jim sterling on utube. i hv no time for this.

we reached a lvl where the season pass costs 60€... wow, that better be some amazing dlcs...

Yeah bloody games cost more and more... Better to buy 5-10 cheaper games then one buggy pile of failed hopes and promises and wait for discounts and bug fixs for it.
Witski Sep 17, 2019 @ 10:55pm
Yes 99,sure is high but you save up 60 euro or more for all dlcs and other content that you have to pay separately

It's also the first time the included an "unannounced" edition of the game. If you are in the UK and pre-ordered on PC, you only get the Standard Edition with your Diamond Loot Chest:

I will not go deep into the debate of whether video games are expensive or not. But let me tell you something ...
Let's say you spend $ 120 on the super deluxe edition of BL3. Well, let's say that on average you are going to invest in this game, let's say ..... 100 hours? ...... 200 hours? ......... 1000 hours? This is very variable depending on the person but if we stay with the 100 hours I think it is a very reasonable average, and even low.
Well I think that more than 100 hours of enjoyment for $ 120 is not too bad ..... $ 1.2 per hour of fun
I can't think of many things that for $ 1.2 have you so entertaining that you don't even realize that 1 hour has passed .....

thats a good way to talk urself into accepting insanely high prices ^^

i did the same with path of exile when i bought stash extensions for 20€ i said to myself "u play the game for 100 hours so u can buy some stash extensions" i ended POE with 3k hours in total and 150€ spent on cosmetics and stash modifications

however, today i regret all the cosmetics but i dont regret the stash mods.

i mean in the end its ur money and u can do what u want with it, for me however people that buy the "super deluxe edition" r idiots, idiots that support corporate greed!

sry but u dont know when the dlc come what the dlc will b or how the quality of them will b or if ur even willing to replay the game for the dlcs. at this point a season pass is a giant overpriced lootbox...

and we hv yet to c if the game can keep up with borderlands 2 (i had 173h) cause the pre sequal was kinda (39h) weak

well a part the savings if you buy the game with season pass, but arbares is right, at least for me because i usually spend more than 500 hours in borderlands games, bl2 alone is 800+ online counting and almost 2/3k being offline, i stayed for months without internet, if you think about it is not that expansive, here were i live to go to the cinema + popcorns i will spend 20 euro for just 2 hours of entertainment, so games will be always the cheapest entertainment you can buy (is up to the user), i usually spend a lot of time on the same game until i finish it completely then i moove on into another (if the game allow replayability)

Well, I understand your point of view and I share it a lot.
I was only strictly referring to the relationship between money / hours of fun compared to other things you can do to have a good time, but that does not make certain policies of certain companies less greedy.
One thing is the base game, even if it is a deluxe version or a similar bauble, and a very different one is the perversion of the dlcs and the season passes, not to mention the cosmetics.

Around twenty years ago I paid about $100 to buy a game, be it a copy of Doom 2 or Unreal, etc... And today, the cost of a game remains more or less the same. If we would account for factors like inflation, and of course the massive effort it takes to make a game, in todays money, we would be paying several hundred $$$ for a game. Just saying... I think we have it pretty decent in the end.
