Stuck on main menu
Basically had this problem for like 6 months and I can't find a fix for it. Basically press any key ok searching for downloadable content all ok after that stuck on downloading updates. I want to play online but the only way I can bypass this is turning off my internet and it bypasses the downloading updates screen but I want to play online.

The main menu was meant to be tackled up by a team of 4 players. Do sidemissions to levelup and try it with friends.

Me thinks thou hast allowed thy security software to block the game from accessing the interwebz.....

I COULD be wrong, I often am, but that is my first thought.

On Windoze 10, got to settings, then Update & Security, then Windows Defender, then Open Windows Defender Security Center, then Firewall and network protection, then Allow and app through firewall. Look for borderlands game and borderlands launcher.

edit: A fast search found this if that does not help you find it. https://www.technipages.com/blockunblock-programs-in-windows-firewall

OK, that sounds odd. When that happens I would expect it has issues with communicating with a server. OK, have you verified the game files? Right click Borderlands 2 in library, select properties, go to local files tab and click Verify integrity of game files.

yup
Hmmm maybe you can try to uninstall the game, then go to delete any existing folders of borderlands 2, redownload the whole game again. It fix the game for my case as my game was crashing randomly when i play online but it's fixed after the following steps mentioned earlier.
