is the bee shield really worth it?
I got a bee shield, third try from hunter hellquist, guess 3rd time really is the lucky charm, so I have a much lower capacity rn and I'm also level 58 in UVHM, so should I max out to level 61 and try to get an other bee shield or get used to the bee shield, or not use it at all?

Bee shield = Massive boost to DPS at the cost of survivability.

The main downside here is that the shield has to be full, even if you take 1 damage (unlikely), you will lose your ability to deal amp damage.

If you already know, then it's up to you whether that is worth it then, I guess. Generally I would advise using it for killing raid bosses instead of mobbing, but some would disagree, that's why it's better to test it out yourself and see what you subjectively believe is better.

It's great to deal huge damage .

You can finish bosses and mobs very fast with it but make sure you are behind a cover because if something hits you the shield will be useless since it should be always fully charged and the charge time is kinda high like from 5 to 8 seconds i believe depends on the parts you get on it.

Plus i suggest getting a gun that shoots so much projectiles like a ricochet fiber or a conference call because every projectile gets the amp damage that the shield gives.

But basically the shield is not good to protect yourself with

Since as i said before the the recharge time is high and the recharge rate is low

And the have low capacity too but still it's a worthy shield

I never used the Bee for long time when learning to play due to really not knowing its potential from people showing me the game. Only in the last couple months have been using it and my take on it is that it is a great shield best used when in coop with some other hunters or if solo using a dual shield system to quickly switch back and forth as needed .

I like it and use it a lot when playing coop with friends when they are using very compatable offsets.

again, I doubted I'd like BL2 at all, I wasn't sure I grabbed BL2 last day it was on sale, then the other day started playing it, the handsome collection and all Borderlands games went off sale. I know I regret it now, but who knows? Every obstacle may turn out to be good
It's really okay
When i first got the game i did the same then i liked the game and bought the GOTY edition then the handsome collection because i didn't knew it exist xD

The Bee is a classic "glass canon" trade off. Lots of out going damage, but you have to learn to avoid incoming damage.

It works well if you like to snipe. So ... good for Maya and Zer0. Maybe not quite so much for other characters.

Bee with correct gun, such as Sand Hawk, can boost your damage tenfold. It's not just
"worth it", it's essential tool for raids and boss farm.

Its awesome for Axton if you use longbow twin turrets, they give you reall good CC. In general I like the COmmando alot, its a really good Solo class

Oh well if u are using my Waifu Maya you want to get a Bee. It can save you a lot of time , not only for raids but also for some bosses like saturn and uranus(with the blurred trickster you can 1 hit them if u phaselock something and have bee+pimpernel). It's also super nice on maya cause you can be 100% bulletproof if u use a trickster com...so you know in case you get bored and you want to try a very aggressive and devastating playstyle based on the momentum give it a try (i suggest you the southpaw cause it's really funny with that build).

Yes, but I don't recommend using it when mobbing. Bosses and Raids only, but you do you...

not completely true man!!!

you forget that kill-skills like Maya's "Inertia", Zer0's "Grim", and Axton's "Quick Charge" all regenerate shields for a percentage everytime you kill an enemy. so if you keep the kill-chains up, you'll constantly regenerate your shields faster than it can be drained.

Gaige has the best shield recharge skill in the game, Blood Soaked shields. It can up instantly recharge your shields up to 100% at the cost of up to 5% of your CURRENT health per kill.

I usually run with 3 points or 60%/3% health. The bee works well with some weapons on Gaige, but I don't think Anarchy magnifies the bonus damage from it.

I'm still using a level 50 Bee at OP1
