Yes. You will need bruteforce or something to decrypt the save. Then Gibbed will freely convert the PS3 save to a PC one. Did this when I moved to steam. Look it up on google. It's easy.

To transfer files from your PS3 to PC, plug in a USB flash/thumb drive into any USB port on your PS3, navigate to the Save Data Utility then to the desired Borderlands Character Game Data icon, hit triangle, and 'copy' to USB drive. After copy has completed, unplug USB drive, take it to your PC, plug it in, navigate to Save Data file, copy to PC.

After copying over the save files, you need to use Gibbed to open those save files (remember to change the option in the Open dialog from PC save to PS3 save) and then save them again keeping the data and stats intact.

PS3 saves are for Borderlands 2 encrypted. You have to decrypt them first using Bruteforce Savedata (??? I think that's what it's called). Borderlands saves were freely convertible though.

I believe the latest version of Gibbed can handle encrypted PS3 files as is? Read as such on a few posts around here but of course I could be wrong since I never played on PS3. If that's indeed the case then yes, OP would need to use Bruteforce before opening the files in Gibbed.

I don't know whether the latest Gibbed can do that or not. If so, then he won't need to Bruteforce. Cannot check to make sure as I have no PS3 saves on hand, or even Gibbed as I don't use Windows.

Latest version of Gibbed for BL2 is 256. If you're already using 256 and still getting that error, then apparently Gibbed still cannot open encrypted files and the saves need to be decrypted via Bruteforce as SunDrippedDevil suggested.

Did you make sure to select PS3 when opening the file? I think it's above the open button? Or the bottom right corner? Or something like that...

yea i tried both. if i go ps3 it says reencode mismatch. if i do pc it says LZO decompresion mismatch. i already decrypted this file by using bruteforce. unless i decrypted it wrong. for the save that was fresh from ps3 and still encrypted. it will say invalid SHA1 hash for both pc and ps3 .sav file

Done. Topic Over.

Edit: Gibbed does not decrypt PS3 files, for future reference. You need to use Bruteforce Savedata.

I have the same EXACT issue.
I can decrypt my ps3 save just fine but when i try and open it in Gibbed I get one of two errors mentioned above depending on if i choose ps3 or pc. "reencode mismatch"
