Best Class for SubMachine Gun
What is the best class to wield SMG through the run and is there a skill build for it available?

Cat maya, i think, and any class with the bee and sandhawk.

SMGs are traditionally the Siren's gun of choice in the BL series. In BL2 there are a set of COMs with the word "cat" in them tailored for Maya, peaking with the Legendary Cat which gives her 25 skill points and upto +138% SMG Gun Damage at a small cost of -36% SMG Accuracy - along with her Legendary Nurse COM, they're her generally accepted "most OP" Legendary COMs.
Maya with her Cat class mods. however, Krieg can make good usage out of SMG's as well, particularly the Hellfire and Good Touch if doing a Hellborn build with the Legendary Torch COM.
Yeah, I use Hellborne Krieg and use some plasma casters and SMGs, works like a charm. You can get a magazine as high as in the 200s with some skills, and increased fire rate, it's pretty ridiculous.
Yeah, Maya with a Legendary Cat mod.
not sure if this is true, but Zer0 can potentially make usage from SMGs to some extent. just put a Hyperion B!tch in his hands, invest in his skill that increases critical hit damage (and a class mod to boost that skill even further), and watch enemies start dropping like flies.

It does work well, but pistols/shotguns are much better in Zer0's hands. Whereas SMGs are, for the most part, ideal for Maya/Krieg to a certain degree.

Hmm it's been a while i played this game. Where can i find this weapons? Are they random? I got atm 11 golden keys, but if i remember correctly, the box has a system, that spawns weapon that are your current level.
Great SMG's :

The ♥♥♥♥♥♥ - Drops from the Bunker
Sandhawk - Whoops quest from Captain Scarlett DLC
The Lascaux - In a pond in Frostburn Canyon, just pick it up.
Hellfire - From Scorch, also in Frostburn C.
The Emperor - Drop from the assasins in Southpaw Steam and power. Mixed feeeling about this one but I like it.
Good touch/Bad touch - from tipping Moxxi in the bar. Not the best but i think they are worth picking up, they have some healing and 70% crit. bonus

Plasma casters also good but they are random drops.

Nonsense. Zer0, with his crit bonuses, velocity and accuracy, is a monster with the b!tch. In general, smgs are lackluster with Zer0, but due to his crit affinity, the b!tch shines in his hands. If you konw Zer0 so well, why don't you mention snipers, the weapons Zer0 was build from the ground up to excel at? There are generalized rules and then there is experience.

I never said the ♥♥♥♥♥ isn't good with Zer0. I'm saying you can do better with a different weapon type. Also I'm not going to talk about everything Zer0 excels at, in a thread that is asking an entirely different thing, that'd be going off-topic I guess.

Legendary Cat COM is dropped by Tubby enemies at Level 62+ through OP8 / 80+ in Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. Like most very good weapons in BL2, it cannot be bought in a vending machine nor are any legendary weapons made available with your golden keys. RNG = a Random Number Generator determines the probabilities of weapons drops in BL2 with pearlescent (cyan) being the rarest and legendary (orange) being the 2nd most rare. For any future inquiries you have about BL2, I suggest you search the wiki > http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Borderlands_2

Hmm i read, when i have the "Ultimate Vault Hunter Pack" installed, i get less xp in the "True Vault Hunter Mode" difficulty after i played through the game once?

And i quote from the wiki "Some players recommend avoiding optional missions that reward unique/legendary items until the Warrior is defeated."

Is this really recommended?

That is correct - in the second playthrough TVHM you gain less XP than in the third and highest level playthrough UVHM. It's the specific reason why you want to accept UVHM as soon as it's offered at level 50 without fail even though it may cost you doing some of the optional missions in TVHM. As soon as you enter UVHM at level 50, everything in the game including your gear starts scaling to your level, and most importantly your enemies follow this same protocol upto + 2 or 3 levels, so you'll start fighting enemies 2 or 3 levels higher than you as standard for the first time in BL2. This fact considered, it becomes imperative you be armed with properly levelled gear and not the lower powered weaponry you had been working with in TVHM. As defeating the Warrior signals the end of TVHM, the game offers to start you on UVHM right thereafter which as I say you accept asap at level 50 without fail cause there is no conceivable strategic reason for sticking around in TVHM at that point. For the completionists among us, bear in mind you can always return to TVHM (and NVHM for that matter) at some point later in the game if you like in order to complete the unfinished optional missions from those earlier modes.
