Donkey Mong issue?

Wondering if they patched/changed something regarding Donkey Mong spawning. Seems most in the past had no issues finding him, but I've entered, saved & quit and reloaded the same spot (new Hero's Pass in Eridium Blight) about 20 times...so far King Mong only spawned twice and Donkey Kong has never shown up. After about 30 minutes of repeating I've quit for the day.

Any suggestions? Trying to get as many achievements as I can, so this one is pissing me off.

He is a random spawn. He does not always spawn. Even if he does, there are a number of locations that he can spawn within the Eridium Blight. The most efficient way to find him is listed here:

He's not always in the same spot. You have to look around.

Been checking all those spots and killing everything there as well. Must have spent 2 hrs now, killed a Badass Rak about 30 times, and King Mong about 15 times...never Donkey Mong.

I get that it is random, but when you need to replay the same section 50+ times over, it is a little ridiculous. On the plus side though, I've gained about 15 eridium, and levelled up from 32 to 33 JUST doing this...

Random is random man. You'll find him soon enough. Just keep at it.

I once too looking for him, for achievements i guess. After googling around I found that donkey mong has higher chance of spawning if you enter eridium blight from vault of the warrior or hero's pass. I forget which one. I found him soon after that.

the best place I found him, was near the entrance to the Ore Chasm arena. so if he fails to spawn there on the first try, enter Ore Chasm, save/quit, reload, and try again.

like the others above mentioned, he doesn't always spawn at the same place. but it's here is the best place I found him.

I finally got him yesterday (before beating the main game). Was actually coming back from the Hyperion Slaughter fights when I saw him. Thankfully that was the last random spawn acheivement left for me to get.

Is that needed for "Level 1 aller nicht-Level-bezogenen Herausforderungen mit einem einzigen Charakter abgeschlossen" or it isnt a "level based challenge" ?
