Gearbox Shift Keys
I used to play BL2 on the xbox 360 a while ago with my friends and during that time i was registering every key code i could find, I ended up with something like 370 keys if i remember correctly but my friends stopped playing at around level 60 so i didn't get to use many of those there.

¿If i log into my Shift account here on the PC version will i have my keys still?

Enh ... Keys aren't stored on the Shift account.

Keys are stored in your Profile.bin file. If you're using a different Profile.bin file, then no, you won't have your old Keys. However, whether or not you've USED a given Shift code is stored in your Shift account. So, you can't reuse Shift codes you've already used if you log into the same account.

But honestly, the keys aren't THAT useful. They're mainly good for the transition between TVHM and UVHM. Once you've started to get UVHM gear, they become less important.

I don't know if there's a way to port over your old profile.bin file, you could try Googling it.

Also, a profile editor will allow you to add keys to your profile.bin file.

Again, they're not really that big a deal.

i can't see how i could possibly port something from my profile on the xbox to here.

Im sure it would port over if the keys are bound to your shift account

i mean they should if whoever created the system had two connected brain cells, i made the shift account for that to begin with but i can't know for sure without giving the money first

Speaking of 2 braincells, who would consider a lack of golden keys a dealbreaker in deciding to get BL2 on the pc? Is mediocre gear really that important? I dont even use them and dont miss them.

Keys are stored in a local file , you won't be able to carry them over.

However, the different platfoems use different shift codes, so you would be able to redeem any code that is still active for the PC version of the game if you really must have some golden keys.

I don't miss them either.

The game throws tons of loot at you by the second; you will get something decent by just playing.

What? :cwat:
You stopped playing because your friends did? :steamfacepalm:

You think the Golden Keys are of paramount importance? :steamfacepalm:
You should be able to use the PC codes, they are not the same. :claptrap:

Yeah i don't feel like playing a coop game alone after buying it along some friends specifically to play with them, ¿What is so strange about it? Oh right, acting like that's not a normal recourse for many in coop games allows you to be pretentious ♥♥♥♥.

Same goes for putting words in my mouth with that second "question", At no point did i ever say that, I came here to check on a function that should exist from a system that required a separate registration and account to work in the first place to see if that utility was actually linked to the damn account it used.

But i guess pointing out a poor design choice is wrongthink or some similar nonsense, Might explain why that other guy got triggered by even suggesting the poor design shouldn't be there.

That's because it's NOT a co-op game. Yes, it has a co-op option. But that isn't a defining limit of the game. It works perfectly well solo, and most of us forum regulars have spent a lot of time playing solo.

And if you can't bear to play it alone, find some make some new friends to play it with.

And the key point that most of us have been trying to explain to you remains: The Golden Keys just aren't very important.

If you're walking down the street (with a handful of money) and the wind comes along and blows several hundred dollars out of your hands, then yeah, maybe you want to run after it. But if you drop a quarter and it rolls down a storm grate... who cares? It's just quarter.

Gold Keys (even a big pile of them) have a lot more in common with that missing quarter than they do with the hundred dollar bill that got blown out of your hand.

Yeah, you're right, it's a design flaw, but no, you're wrong, it's not a very big or important one.

You, win the Darwin award.
Nakos daid "Keys are stored in your Profile.bin file. If you're using a different Profile.bin file, then no, you won't have your old Keys."

You said "might not buy the game here then, that sucks♥♥♥♥"

So, about that.

Borderlands 2 is NOT a CO-OP game, it HAS it. I play near exclusively SOLO

YOU, are the one looking triggered, I don't get triggered.

Hint, Having the damn codes for console and PC separate means you can now get them on the PC

You, think a function should be there, that does not say it SHOULD. I think your idea sucks, better to keep consoles and PCs separate IMOH.

If you don't buy the game, that is all well and good for me. I don't need you.
