Kriegs silence the voices

so right now im level 65 with krieg and so far i havent taken silence the voices out of my tree since i 1st got it since the damage was minimal. id kill myself a few times but it was ok. right now i have the problem where i will simply 1 shot myself. full shield and full health if i hit myself ill killmyself and if im in BSR with the reduction of damage from the bloodlust tree, release the ebast and numbes nerves ill just simply kill myself in 2-3, its unbearable and i wonder why suddenly i started killing myself so easily. i use a rapier, a love thumper with 95k extra melee dmg 408k health and 150k shield. i use blood of the ancients even. i cant take the skill off because melee simply deals too little damage without it. please help, i cant figure out why im killing myself so easily all of a sudden

if your using a Roid sheild like the Love thumper your using also known as a melee booster sheild when its depleted it gives you that melee boost so when StV procs it takes the melee boost from the roid sheild if it is down this is most likely the problem you are having if StV and killing yourself so i recoomend using a diffrent sheild or not using StV when using a roid sheild

it doesnt, ive tried removing the rapier and equiping just a normal anshin shield (removing rapier just in case the curse was affecting me or the damage buff) and i was still taking ludicrous damage, with the extra 200k health and the bigger shield of the anshin i could barely survive one hit. thanks for trying though edit: also i get killed 1 shot when im with a shield full, so the damage buff of the roid isnt affecting the melee anyway

I mean stv also takes the melee buffs from the tree and it is some ludicrous damage that melee krieg buffs which is why melee kriegs use rough rider shields because without it they can barely survive StV
So farm for a rough rider since the sheild gives you 20% damage resistance and resistance to all damage types which is helpful for stv because it doesn't hurt as much

So farm for a rough rider since the sheild gives you 20% damage resistance and resistance to all damage types which is helpful for stv because it doesn't hurt as much

yeah i will farm for the rough rider, but the problem is that im not entirely sure if itll work, i already have around 80% damage reduction from release the beast and numbed nerves with the bloodlust dmg reduction skill, which i forgot the name. i do have incredible melee boosts, like 500% from StV since i have a rage sickle class mod, but what baffles me is the fact that last level or the one before that i didnt have a problem at all, id take like a 5% of my health or not even my full shield due to the ammount of health boosts i have, but suddenly i noticed i couldnt kill even a badass loader without dying like 7 times and i checked when i hit myself and i just killed myself 1 literal shot

the Rough Rider shield definitely works on Melee Krieg!!! I have one equipped on my Melee Krieg (Lvl-66), as well as having one of those "Ancients" relics that provides an increase in Max Health, which helps absorb even more self-inflicted damage whenever Silence-the-Voices does proc.

Oh, and it also helps to farm for the Sheriff's Badge Relic, as this will counteract the StV by allowing you to throw Buzz Axes (which removes the risk of hitting yourself)

as it wasn't mentioned, you'll need to farm the bullymong mini-boss named Bulwark in the Hammerlock DLC, as it's this enemy that drops the Rough Rider. and for the Sheriff's Badge, the Sheriff of Lynchwood (aka Nisha from "Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel") drops this item as well as occasionally dropping the Jakobs Law.

and before I forget, you'll also wanna farm for the Legendary Sickle Class Mod, which drops from Tubby enemies on Lvl-62+

as an undate i decided to comment, i removed the skill and tried in level 67, two levels after and now the problem is gone, i only deal like 5% of my health, it maybe was a bug related to the level? but now its ok, thanks everyone. i did get that legendary sickle, a slagga and a sheriffs badge, thanks for the tips

I built him melee to somewhere around level 55, and then got fed up with dying to Stv, so I respecced him to be a fire god, and am much happier. Breath of Terra, FoTFH, and a nice Heartbreaker and he's kicking the hell out of everything.

StV's self damage for some reason is affected by grenade dmg buffs so having The kill skill, Fuel the Blood, active will cause more damage to Krieg than it would if it were not active. This may be what's happening. This is fixed in the Unofficial Community Patch.

It is probably not a level glitch. the extra 2 levels give you alot more HP so the self damage from the thumper is doing less % of HP. What alot of people get wrong with melee krieg is using Rapier/thumper comb in conjuntion with STV. The other thing is in his action skill blades and roid take a back seat in the damage formula.
