Save file problems
Trying to play Borderlands 2 on another computer...

For some reason the game wont create a new save file under My game (documents). There is no file. I have created a new character, quit and save still nothing. After I created a new character and quit-save the character is gone when I restart the game...so it looks like the game cant create a save file...

I was over at my parents house where I keep my old laptop, which I played the game. I found my old save file and had steam cloud active. For some reason steam cant sync it to my new computer. So I moved over the save files to an USB...but I cant find the map to place the save.bin

I am clueless what to do, since the game wont create a new savefile for me so I can place my old file in it.
I have the actual game installed under my second HDD while I have the OS installed in C. I need help

unfortunately steam cant work with two hard drives containing a games saves/config and another containing the install steam dosent like it which is why thats most likely happening
Did a complete install of steam and all my games...made sure to install steam on my main drive along with the game. I still cant get the game to sync with steam cloud

Still wont sync with steam cloud nor will it create a new save file...atleast not under my documents folder in my games

UPDATE:

Created a new character, played for like 10 min, took quit/save....when I closed the game down and restarted it my new character was gone...there is something wrong with my game/steam.....so I cant start a new character because of this nor can I activate my old save....since i cant find the folder..

I am pissed..any solution?

The folder wont exist until you create a new character and save.

Try this:

1) Turn off steam cloud for BL2.

2) Start the game.

3) Create a new character and thus a save file and the save directory.

4) Tab out of the game. Dump your old save files in the newly created folder.

5) Load one of your old saves, then quit the game.

6) Turn on steam cloud for BL2.

7) Start the game again.

8) It will give you some warning about the saves being unsynced or something. Continue anyways.

9) Quit the game. Steam cloud should the saves after you quit.

Thanks for the help but I managed to solve it...after 5h of trying.

The issue was that my windows had denied my computer access to write in the "my games" - folder. I gave myself permission to this and this solved everything. I was able to create a new save file using my old Krig - character.
