Best place to farm *(early game )

So this is my second play thorough (first by my self) and I just want to know the best way to farm XP . I'm a level 23 siren and I have completed every side mission and story mission up to wildlife preservation. I'm kinda weird and like to grind slot before I do the main missions that progress along in the story but I ran out of side missions and when I'm in some areas I only get 2 or some XP from killing stalkers threshers and bandits. I have found the best place to farm XP the city where in the one mission you fight the jack clones. (I forgot the name) if u could give me some tips that would be great.

The best way to get XP is to do the main quest. Always be within 2 levels of the quest level when completing it.

If you are level 23, you should be going to do Bunker and Control Core Angel which are level 24 in NVHM.

[(MI) Mission Incredible]

If you have the Marcus Mercenary Day DLC, it offers a lot of XP and a train of goodies. Farming any Boss should net alot of XP as well. Doc Mercy, Savage Lee both can randomly drop legendary weapons. For sure it sounds like you've off to a good start & it's a good thing you like grinding cos there's lots more required later in the game. Good places to farm maximum XP are the highest XP-paying main missions in the base game + all the playable DLCs, then you can follow the same process in all of the game's highest XP-paying optional missions and finally you can farm the highest XP-rewarding raid bosses but I can't recommend raiding until you're in UVHM at levels 50+ .. You can find the per-mission XP-payoffs by researching the wiki & asking those Steam friends who are more expeienced BL2 players . Have fun

You're already over leveled, do the main story quest and more move on.

Or run one of the DLCs if you really want to keep gaining more exp.

the OP could farm the trash mobs in Lynchwood. since you'll also have a chance to farm Nisha (aka "The Sheriff of Lynchwood") for both the Sheriff's Badge and the Jakobs Law

I went through the Wildlife Exploitation part in level 18. I don't get how everyone levels up to level 20 and above, then gets a cakewalk in the story quests. Even then my weapons are horrendously underleveled.
