Roid Damage vs. StV

okay, so i'm slowly working on a Melee Krieg (in between with my Hellborn one), and i'm planning on speccing into Silence-the-Voices once UVHM is unlocked (already have a Lvl-72 Legendary Sickle COM for him I gave him from a previous character during some Tubby farming). So i'm already aware of using the Rough Rider shield for the flat 20% damage resistance, when speccing into StV.

For now, i'm experimenting with Roid Damage shields for the time being, as i'm only 1 story quest away for the Order shield, to do the Law-and-Order combo.

So for those who are good with Melee Krieg builds, which one between the 2 did you find much more satisfying?

Rough Rider add health, it will keep he safe when StV procs.
Krieg is a beast, he doesnt need Law-and-Order combo.

ah, point taken. though I have used the Love Thumper with him, which is pretty funny (just as long as I don't down myself when standing next to exploding tanks/barrels).

and the main reason for the creation of the thread, is how some people not liking the Silence-the-Voices perk, as it has put them into FFYL from multiple procs (even with the Rough Rider). Though it could be offset somewhat by throwing the Buzz Axe, especially with the Sheriff's Badge equipped (as thrown axes somehow counts as pistol damage).
