Bee Farming - Treants or Hunter Hellquist?

Looking forward for a bee shield,and don't offer me one because i'll grind in my own,so i was wondering,should i farm on Treants or the Hunter Hellquist?

Treants.
There's only one Hellquist (you need to restart the game after you kill him once), but there's multiple treants.

I fell like the treants have an increased drop rate, although the treants right from the fast travel station dont drop anything, same with 1 other that i cant name the location of.

You don't have to restart your game to farm. Just quit to main menu and load again. I use Hunter Helquist, just take the catch-a-ride, kill him, and repeat. It shouldn't take long.

That is what is meant by restart, confusing no? In the time you can get to Helquist I can get to two treeants that have the both have the same chance. If I want I can tag up to 7 treeants but the first two are close. IT was two years or more before I got a Bee from Hellquist and had a collection from treeants.

Yes, you´ll spend your time much efficiently farming treeants for the same odds.
You´ll also get a shot at the DLC specific classmods if needed.

it depends on the player...

some will argue, that Hellquist is a much faster farm, due to you spawning right near him. while the Treants provide more chances at getting a Bee, since you fight quite a few of them.

If you look at the first two treeants on the left, they are closer to the spawn point than Helquist is. Using catch a ride the time to get there is about the same. One one you have two chances of a drop, the other you have one.

The interesting thing for me (and Treants win, hands down for efficiency for all of the previously-mentioned reasons), is that I've yet to have a drop from the first batch of Treants you encounter after entering The Forest, before you cross the bridge.

The Treants in the spot below where Aubrey the Teenage Treant work for me, as does the first Treant near where Ellie's armour was found (the second in this area near the mimic chest never drops for me).

I usually save/quit/redo at this point, but there are also four more in the orc village to farm. These are just a bit more of a pain to farm given the Duke of Orc and needing to deal with him.

That first one never drops anything, the two on the left by Aubrey do, down the tail and down the right path one can, in the ork camp there will be two who can and in the blood pool two more.

I just run past the first one and hit the two by Aubrey.
