I was level 17, now I'm 18 and the only mission I haven't done is the timed parcel thing. I have a 10x97 +acid shotgun, 171 +fire sniper and 103 +slag pistol. Those are the best I have, got the shotgun using a key.
Also, if you just need some help (like in arena or something) let me know and I will help you :)
True, but its better to save it for higher levels
If you are properly armed you should be able to enjoy the game rather than having this temper tantrum.
My recomendation is: Stop playing that mission. Go play some side missions so you can be at a higher level. Retool, go farming, get better weapons...come back to A Train to catch and enjoy it.
You don't need all of them, but you do need to keep your level around the same level as that of whatever main story mission you're working on. Otherwise, you're going to have trouble.
The game becomes more and more difficult the more underleveled you are.
As for the Train-to-Catch mission, bring a Shock weapon. Prioritize the Surveyors. Dodge incoming missiles (the entry way where the broken Fast-Travel is can be used as cover).
Corrosive is significantly more important for the loaders than a shock weapon. If you drop the surveyors fast enough, wilhelm never gets a shield so element type doesn't matter a whole lot. Best bet would be to take both, but if only one is an option, go corrosive.
I agree that a Corrosive weapon is certainly useful throughout that mission. But the Surveyors don't appear until after Wilhelm is damaged.
Personally, I always carry a Corrosive weapon, it's part of my normal arsenal, A Shock weapon tends to be more of a special purpose thing that I only carry if I know I'm going to use it, hence my comment.
