you also forgot to mention Roland's old Support Gunner Class Mod from the original "Borderlands", which offers Team Ammo Regeneration.
too bad that Axton's version of the very same class mod doesn't regenerate ammo though
The legendary hoarder mod for Sal is indeed a boost for teammates, especially those of us who chew SMG ammo when playing the Peak.
probably Salvador's best legendary class mod, next to the Legendary Gunzerker one
The problem is that as you progress through successively harder Peak levels, especially solo, the Infinity becomes more of a liability than a useful weapon.
Even for Maya as a healer.
It's inaccurate and does paltry damage. While you are spraying (endless ineffective) bullets all over the map, enemies are closing on, and flanking you. Especially as your level increases, as noted by the above poster.
Precisely. It's at those times that you wish you had a weapon with more punch, and faster output.
I've experimented briefly in the past with equipping mods and relics that buff fire rate increases, ensuring that I had a high fire rate, on-level Infinity. Even so, this pistol consistently made me wish for better as I entered FFYL. Just can't consistently put baddies away (especially those of the nature of Scorch, Doc Mercy, the Black Queen, or SB A**es fast enough at the higher OP levels. This is the case even you get in close to minimize the spread of the spray and maximize bullet contact.
If you can spare the backpack space, especially as Maya, it may be worth it to keep one for non-Peak runs or for as a last resort weapon when running out of ammo at the Peak, Fink's Slaugherhouse or the like. It does help Nurse Maya to heal hard-to-track moving teammates, so there still is that use for it too.
As for paltry damage - it's all a matter of any gun becomes "paltry" after you have had it for a while <sad face>.
