They're different - SH is an unexciting shotgun where Kitten can be a useful AR for Gaige and Kreig.

They are both 2nd or 3rd tier guns. A swift fire kitten has one use for which it outclasses everything else. The slowhand? Gimmick.

kitten will heal u.. slightly...but with all maya good skills that will help u..slow hand is risky u must be close and high lvl slow hand can put u in FFYL easy..

The swift fire kitten will heal you completely in under a second against Terra, if you have bee, and fire bone. Haven't found any other use for kittens, tho.
