KRIEG : Does throwing the Buzz Axe do more damage?

I've been hearing that throwing the Buzz Axe does about 60% of what the normal melee attack does but im playing Krieg now and i realised that throwing my buzz axe does 1.4mil but a melee does 600k

What is your gear and Spec?
You can boost your throws with "Buzz Axe Bombardier" + "Fuel the Blood" aswell as "Strip the Flesh" and certain pieces of gear I suppose.

This is what i have atm and i have a class mod which gives me +5 Silence the Voices +4 Empty the Rage and +3 Fuel the Blood
My gear is a Rubi DPUH and some random weapons

With 100 stacks of Bloodlust and 8/5 "Fuel the Blood" and "Buzz Axe Bombardier" you´ll be boosting your ace thwrows quite a bit., up to +400% grenade damage.

Make use of this during Buzz axe rampage, after a melee kill, throw your axe, kill with melee throw your axe and so on.

Ah thanks i completely forgot that grenade damage boosts buzz axe thats why i thought fuel the blood was bad
