Out of Body Experience: Should I get the shield or shotgun?

So I just finished Out of Body experience and I'm deciding to either go with the Shotgun or Shield.

But I already have this shotgun and shield which I currently have equipped:

it's normal mode, you don't need to worry about it. both the shotgun and shield are awful anyway, but i would get the shotgun since i like shotguns

on normal.. take whatever u feel more really experiment now.. but wen u go in uvhm take best stuff only

i used the shotgun for a bit and its funny, never tried the shield since ive got the firehawk shield still when this quest comes along, try the shotgun maybe, get some laughs and vendor it if its not a big upgrade, he is funny at first but gets annoying
